Estate Plan Donor Highlight

“One of the many strengths of Second Presbyterian Church is its extraordinary mission focus and resultant mission outreach. Second Presbyterian doesn’t just “Say” mission outreach, Second Presbyterian “Does” mission outreach. It helps people from all walks of life via an exceedingly long list of programs such as the Food Pantry, tutoring, and Habitat for Humanity. Like so many others, we have volunteered for several of these programs and have witnessed their profound impact on our neighbors.

An important funding mechanism of this mission outreach is the Second Presbyterian Church Endowment. It celebrates its 100th anniversary this year which demonstrates its power and sustainability. It has clearly shown the ability to help people in the present, and is structured and committed to doing so in the future.

An integral piece of our estate plan is to provide financial support to the Endowment. This support is for a specific mission fund that is part of the Endowment’s funding of Second’s outreach. The long-standing commitment of Second to its mission focus and resultant mission outreach was of paramount importance to us as we created our estate plan with Second Presbyterian Church as a crucial component.”
