“I’ve been reflecting on just what the Sanctuary Choir of Second Presbyterian has meant to me during the past 9+ years. It’s all about goodwill, grace, and gratitude—and it is terribly unique to our choir community. I will take with me all the dear memories, all the treasured experiences, all the wonderful friendships, and all the love.”

~Rev. Barbara Parker, Choir Member

Servants at Work

“In 2003 Second Presbyterian Church made a financial and volunteer commitment to provide freedom, independence, and dignity to low-income people in our community who are trapped in their homes due to their disabilities. In the interim years, that commitment has remained rock solid and the Endowment remains the largest supporter among the churches with whom we partner. With over 3,000 volunteers statewide and more than 3,500 ramps built, Second stands as the cornerstone of this ministry. “

~Rik Hagarty, Founder, Servants at Work (SAWs)

Family Promise

“I wish the members of Second Presbyterian could be there on an intake day, like when a mom of two special needs children walked into the doors of our furnished apartment shelter. She fell into the arm chair in the living room crying out of joy and relief, and said, ‘I can’t believe I get to live here.’ Your congregation makes moments like that possible with its support, and we are so grateful.”

~Mike Chapuran, Executive Director, Family Promise of Greater Indianapolis
