New Questions Regarding Rental Property in 2011 If you own a rental property and file Schedule E, you will be asked two new questions in 2011: Did you make any payments in 2011 requiring you to file Form(s) 1099? Will you file all required Form(s) 1099? There are some circumstances which may require landlords to file Form 1099 for 2011, for example, payment to an attorney of $600 (or more) to assist with the collection of back rents.
