“Honey & Feathers” gives reference to Turrell’s childhood and many of the compositions in this exhibition are an homage to his early memories of home. Turrell created a series of intimate small works that stretch the boundaries of his practice by using unconventional materials, and also convey his enjoyment of process and creativity. Given the chaos of today’s world, the work is a reflection of the artist choosing to be inspired by happier times and positive messaging, rather than devolve into an abyss of negativity.
