DES I GN ER Olav Slygsttad: I was intrigued by the concept of taking teak furniture which has been almost a tradition for outdoor patios for many years and adding a combination of movement and curved lines to what is traditionally a very box-like design approach. The Spirals Collection is designed to continue to draw the eye towards the back of the furniture.

The Spirals Teak collection takes recognizable shapes and creates beautiful, graceful curving lines around them, showcasing a striking, minimalist Danishinspired design element. Thanks to teak’s traditional and celebrated resistance to harsh weather, these furniture pieces possess the strength and durability to last for generations as sought-after heirlooms. Our manufacturing facility was the first to join Nusa Hijau, the Indonesian Chapter of the Global Forest Trade Network (GFTN), an initiative of WWF速 (World Wildlife Fund) to eliminate illegal logging and improve the management of valuable and threatened forests. We purchase wood only from Perum Perhutani, the government-managed plantation that promotes biodiversity and the livelihoods of the people that depend on them. A fascinating confluence of images and ideas served as the inspiration behind the Plato Collection: The life cycle of rice, the baskets used to harvest that ancient grain, and the Greek philosopher credited with naming the four elements—earth, wind, fire, and water. These furnishings combine an artist’s vision of contemporary design enhanced by traditional elements. Its signature dark slats mirror the grooved texture of rice grains while reflecting sparks of ochre and apricot.

DES I GN ER Suwan Kongkhunthian earned his B.A. in Fine Arts at Silpakorn University. He was named Thailand Designer of the Year in 2004, was awarded the Asian Design Award the same year, and won the Good Design Award from Japan Industrial Design in 2005. Kongkhunthian is a special lecturer for colleges, universities, the Department of Export Promotion (DEP) and various other organizations.

Broad-shouldered, breathable, and deeply cushioned, these furniture pieces inspire comfortable reﬂection and contemplation. The Perpetual Collection is the beautifully-designed constant in your life. Indoors or outdoors, amidst a crisp garden or on a city rooftop, these handmade, lightweight concrete tables suit every occasion. The designer’s innovative approach to soften the appearance of concrete with natural sands and hemp-like grass creates a sophisticated, personalized aesthetic where no two tables are the same. “Perpetual” also embodies the durability and sustainability of the furniture—constructed from biodegradable materials with a low luster ﬁnish, the pieces are beautifully weather resistant. We successfully introduced this collection in Slate Gray; due to demand for other ﬁnishes, we now offer our Ivory White collection. Blending tropical serenity and urban cool, this new palette offers wonderful depths and hues: begin with the slight hint of pale cinnamon and creamy whites, then create an environment as soothing—or as vibrant—as you like. Of course, all of our Perpetual Collection tables look memorable when paired with our ceramics or other furniture collections to brighten your spaces with punches of color.

HANDMADE LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE PRODUCTS We hope that this information will help you and ultimately your customers better understand/sell the handmade Perpetual Collection and set the right expectations with your customers. No two individual pieces of our handmade lightweight concrete products will ever be exactly alike. This is part of the charm of purchasing items that are made by hand in small batches, compared with the mass-production products that are so prevalent in today’s homogenized marketplace. The raw materials for our lightweight concrete are simple and natural: Portland cement, sand, crushed granite, natural spring-fed water, and ramie, a special coarse/fibrous grass used for reinforcement. When we analyze the combination of raw, natural materials and the handmade production process, this is a very green natural product, with close to zero CO2 emissions from the manufacturing process. Each Perpetual Collection accessory (see Ornamental Vase section) and furniture item has its own set of characteristics and patina markings that help to make each piece unique. These individual characteristics are due to a combination of factors when raw natural materials are combined with physical human effort and knowhow (handmade). Factors that influence the final patina/appearance of our lightweight concrete include (but are not limited to) different batches of raw, natural materials, where they are sourced, and environmental influences such as levels of humidity during production. How the product is physically handled from craftsman to craftsman further impacts the finished product patina; for example, the amount of physical pressure exerted (by hand) during the pigmentation process, or how much wax is applied in the buffing stages, may cause the final finish of any individual piece to be lighter or darker. Designed with durability, longevity and cutting edge beauty in mind, these sculptural elements are handcrafted using generations of European and Asian expertise in a small family production environment. These skilled craftspeople, inspired by the natural world around them, saturate their furniture, vases, and sculptures with vibrant, jewel-like glazes in colors and color combinations discovered in nature’s treasures—sunsets, plants, birds and ﬂowers to name a few. These surprisingly strong glazes—the product of European know-how— resist cracking and fading, are EU-approved and eco-friendly, and remain vivid and bright in even challenging outdoor settings, though they are equally suited to indoor use. As ﬂexible as they are beautiful, our glazed ceramic furnishings can be mixed and matched to compliment a range of design palettes and accessorized with matching throw pillows to add layers of texture and color. These highly versatile accent pieces are strong enough to be used as additional seating and can be grouped together to function in multiple ways, as accent tables, benches, and coffee tables.

HANDMADE CERAMIC PRODUCTS A little knowledge to help you better understand and sell our handmade ceramic products and set the right expectations with your customer. No two individual pieces of our handmade ceramic products will ever be exactly alike. This is part of the charm of purchasing items that are made by hand in small batches, compared with the mass-production products that are so prevalent in today’s homogenized marketplace. Each ceramic item’s individual characteristics are due to many natural and manufacturing influencing factors including (but not limited to) varying clay mineral compositions, the multiple times a product is fired in our electrical/gas kiln ovens, glaze chemical mixes, how heavily the glaze is hand-applied by different individuals, levels of humidity, where in the kiln oven the product is fired and glaze reactions to different mineral compositions of clays. Sometimes, a product may complete most of the manufacturing stages perfectly well only to fail at the last stage of firing. This is both the challenge and attraction of producing handmade, unique products. Further, because of the handmade nature of the product, it is not realistic to expect perfection. Sizes presented in our marketing materials and on our website are approximate, as clay can expand and contract by as much as 8-10% in the firing process. Burn or color pits and sometimes green/blue/blacks flecks or spots can appear in the glaze. These marks are due to chemical reactions in the glaze and mineral compositions in the glazes and are beyond our control. This is perfectly normal and acceptable in handmade ceramic product. HANDMADE LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE AND CERAMIC PRODUCTS We hope that this information will help you and ultimately your customers better understand/sell the handmade lightweight concrete and ceramic items and set the right expectations with your customers. No two individual pieces of our handmade products will ever be exactly alike. This is part of the charm of purchasing items that are made by hand in small batches, compared with the mass-production products that are so prevalent in today’s homogenized marketplace. Each item in our Perpetual Collection is 100% handmade lightweight concrete produced in multiple production phases, and has its own set of characteristics and patina markings that help to make each piece unique. Factors that influence the final patina/appearance of our lightweight concrete include (but are not limited to) different batches of raw, natural materials, where they are sourced, and environmental influences such as levels of humidity during production. How the product is physically handled from craftsman to craftsman further impacts the finished product patina; for example, the amount of physical pressure exerted (by hand) during the pigmentation process, or how much wax is applied in the buffing stages, may cause the final finish of any individual piece to be lighter or darker. Each of our Ceramic items features individual characteristics due to many natural and manufacturing factors including (but not limited to) varying clay mineral compositions, the multiple times a product is fired in our electrical/gas kiln ovens, glaze chemical mixes, how heavily the glaze is hand-applied by different individuals, levels of humidity, where in the kiln oven the product is fired and glaze reactions to different mineral compositions of clays. Further, because of the handmade nature of our ceramics, it is not realistic to expect perfection. Sizes presented in our marketing materials and on our website are approximate, as clay can expand and contract by as much as 8-10% in the firing process. Burn or color pits and sometimes green/blue/blacks flecks or spots can appear in the glaze. These marks are due to chemical reactions in the glaze and mineral compositions in the glazes and are beyond our control. This is perfectly normal and acceptable in handmade ceramic product. SHADE The lamp shades come in 3 individual sheets which are a snap to assemble.

TH E T U LI AN C H O R S Y STE M This ingenious system allows you to use our tall floor lamps outdoors, with no fear of them blowing over in normal use. A high-strength steel cable is used to attach the lamp firmly to either a wooden deck or stone slabs or pavers. Itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s an elegant solution to an everyday problemâ&#x20AC;&#x201D;just like Tuli products.

HOW THE TULI ANCHOR SYSTEM WORKS

The ground plug is driven between stone pavers or concrete slabs.

The connection plug can also be screwed directly into a wooden deck surface, or directly into stone or concrete for installations where the ground plug is not practical.

The steel cable is attached to the finishing cap, which then screws onto the connection plug.

The connection plug is then attached to the ground plug.

One end of a high-strength steel cable is attached to the lamp base.

The finished connection provides rock-solid support, while sharing the simple, elegant design of the lamp itself.

All fabric upgrades are made using outdoor fabrics from the world’s leading manufacturer—Sunbrella®. Select from over 150 different fabrics to customize your furniture purchases. Additionally, we also accept COM (Customers Own Material/ Fabric) orders. All covers and foam for custom ordered products are fabricated in the United States using UV (ultra-violet) protected threads and YKK zippers. Production times will vary depending on the time of year, but you should allow for approximately 4–6 weeks lead time from the date your order is conﬁrmed by Seasonal Living. See a diagram showing which pieces can be customized, then choose from our wide selection of Sunbrella® fabrics and get instant pricing information, all on one easyto-use page. All fabric upgrade orders must be completed through the SeasonalLiving.com website, using one of the options below.

For this option, you need to be signed in as a registered user at SeasonalLiving.com. To register, visit the Home Page and click on the “Sign Up” button at the top of the Home Page.

For this option, you do not need to be signed in as a registered SeasonalLiving.com user.

• Once signed in, identify the item of furniture you wish to purchase. Place the ordered item in your Purchase Order Cart. Scroll down towards the bottom of the page of the furniture item you are ordering or click on the button “Fabric Upgrade Wizard.” • A line drawing of the furniture item you are looking to customize your fabrics for will be shown alongside 5 categories of fabric upgrades. You can choose to customize each part of the upholstery fabric covers; the line drawing will help guide you as to how to place your order for a complete fabric order. • Select the fabrics and welting you require and this order will automatically be added to your Purchase Order cart. You will see the price of your furniture increase as you add fabrics.

• Visit the SeasonalLiving.com Home Page. At the top of of the page, click on “Client Area.” • In the client area you will find a link to “Seasonal Living Furniture Upgrades.” Click on this link to reveal a list of PDF forms that you can print off that are relevant to your Custom Fabric order. • Using the Sunbrella® 2013/2014 fabric book included with your catalog, identify the fabrics and prices that you wish to place an order for. • Fill in the highlighted areas on the relevant furniture fabric upgrade form, then either fax or scan the form and send it to Seasonal Living along with your contact information (fax to 1-512-330-0841 or e-mail to Sales@SeasonalLiving.com).

• An e-mail notification will be sent to Seasonal Living providing us with your fabric upgrade selections.

O N C E T HE A B OV E ST E P S A R E C OM P L E T E D FOR OPTION # 1 OR # 2 • We will send you a Sales Order confirmation of your custom fabric options. IMPORTANT: Be sure to carefully review your Sales Order to check that the fabric upgrades you selected are accurately represented on the Sales Order. • Your confirmation of the Sales Order is required along with a 50% deposit. Once we receive your deposit, production will begin. Please be sure to read our Terms & Conditions of Sale regarding Custom Orders. • Your custom fabric order will be shipped to you when complete. • Receive your cushion covers (and foam, if ordered) and replace the standard upholstery that was included with your original order.
