What is your business best known for? Our business is best known for its food. Portion sizes are massive and quality is very consistent. We are also known for all the sports we get on our 22 televisions. What is your philosophy towards your work? My philosophy is to be consistent at our food and service and to make customers always want to return for another visit.
Jamie Day Hello everyone. My name is Jamie Day and I have been part of the Prairie Inn for over 20 years. I’ve worked in many liquor and food establishments, but by far the Peninsula is the best area I’ve worked and lived in. My wife Lisa and I have been married for 13 years and have two boys, Brayden and Hunter. A few years back the Prairie Inn introduced a children’s and family section, and this has helped business tremendously. We have an amazing
group of regular customers, as well as people who drive from miles away for our massive menu that has an amazing selection of pub, comfort and gluten-free food and a huge selection of salads.
beer, cider and liquor. Frank, the manager of the liquor store, is happy to take requests to bring in products we may not have, or do special case orders on those hard-tofind wines.
The staff here are another reason why its a fun place to work and visit. We are also known for having plenty of televisions and have the capability of showing all NHL and NFL games.
One of our favourite things to do is fundraise for local kids’ teams, as well as for locals who are dealing with illness or going through a hard time.

Why is your business important? Our business is very important because everybody needs to have a home away from home. The Prairie Inn is a great place for people to meet up with family or
friends. You can come to our pub/restaurant in sweat pants or a tuxedo and not be judged.
