I was also concerned that so much of the trouble was blamed on the so-called 'youth of the day' which is such a cliché and doesn't begin to get to the root of the issue. It gives a whole generation an undeserved bad

There's no comparison to these hooligans, so let's stick up for the reputation of our youngsters. On a happier note – the Skateboard Park is now successfully up and running. There have been some teething troubles, with some latenight noise disturbing residents, but I’m pleased to see many young people helping to collect litter, and advising other skateboarders to show respect to the community. St Clare's s I write this in the middle of August, all the staff at St Clare’s are delighted to see the fantastic results which arrived today for our A level students. We’ve had a great set of results, with 91% of grades in the A*-C range; we’re particularly pleased with the 58% of students who received at least one A* or A Grade! Congratulations to all our pupils, who have worked so hard over so many years to achieve consistently good results – and a big well done to

Sophie Crole (3 A*s plus an A at AS Level) and Mirali Patel (A*, A, A, plus A at AS) who were our top achievers. Many of this year’s A level students have been at St Clare’s since the age of 2, building strong relationships with staff and contributing to the family atmosphere which the school is known for. As such, it’s with mixed emotions that we wave them off to pursue glittering careers in their chosen fields, wishing them the best of luck as they go. » John Aguilar, Head Master, 01656 789963
