BOOK OF THE MONTH Still Me by Jojo Moyes If you loved Me Before You and After You then you will be delighted with Still Me in which Lou Clarke is back. Lou Clark knows too many things... She knows how many miles lie between her new home in New York and her new boyfriend Sam in London. She knows her employer is a good man and she knows his wife is keeping a secret from him. What Lou doesn’t know is she’s about to meet someone who’s going to turn her whole life upside down. Because Josh will remind her so much of a man she used to know that it’ll hurt. Lou won’t know what to do next, but she knows that whatever she chooses is going to change everything.

All these books and many more are available free of charge from the Library. But did you know it isn’t just books we offer, we also lend DVDs, talking books and micro:bits. A micro:bit is a pocket- sized computer that can be coded, customized or controlled to bring digital ideas to life. The micro:bit can be borrowed free of charge, for three weeks just like a library book.

Last month, we celebrated Fantastic Beasts at our Harry Potter Book Night, during which the children enjoyed a number of Harry Potter themed events including being sorted into houses, creating spectacles and hearing from Mrs Weasley, who turned up with her pet niffler. Congratulations to Ravenclaw who won the House Quiz. From March 8th on Thursday mornings we are starting a Knit and Natter group at 11am, which will be a chance to bring your knitting, and chat with others in the comfy surroundings of the Library. This month, we are holding a very special bilingual children’s event Blodyn & Tatws with Lala productions on March 10th and on March 24th we are exploring space with local author Pat Roper. Both free events are at 2.30pm. To find out more, please contact us at the Library. You can also follow Porthcawl Library on Facebook.
