Shore and Seaside Heights, my favorite mile-long coast. I’m proud and grateful to be starting my eighteenth year as mayor in this dynamic and unique town. I feel there is no place in the world like Seaside Heights. I love the challenges that go with balancing a growing residential community with the complexities of hosting hundreds of thousands of visitors in the summer. A simple trip to our beach leaves visitors with the feeling that Seaside Heights’ outings always provide nice surprises, which gives them a sense of value. This is what we pride ourselves on. The preparation that goes with hosting so many guests takes place year-round, and we have continually tried to expand the events and celebrations that make our town so exceptional. We now have something exciting on our calendar ten months out of the year! Of course, we will certainly be looking forward to our 25th Annual Ocean County St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This year, we have also added a new and exciting event. Free family entertainment is something that is important to the Seaside Family, so we will be hosting a Seaside Heights BBQ Competition in September.We welcome everyone to bring their “A game” and participate in our newest contest. Our summers are chock full of music festivals, afternoon aquarium shows, fireworks every Wednesday evening, and, of course, our beautiful white sand beaches. Sunday and Thursday movie nights feature classics that appeal to young and old alike. We are expanding our popular fall Seafood Festival to include a New Orleans style Mardi Gras weekend.

MARCH 14 St. Patrick’s Day Parade Saturday, 12:00 Noon. The luck of the Irish is bound to smile upon you. Join the enthusiastic crowds on the Boulevard for a fun-filled Irish parade with bands, floats, and marchers, and a street celebration where everyone is Irish.
