Andrew C. Taylor The award to Andrew Taylor was presented by Admiral James A. "Sandy" Winnefield Jr., USN, the ninth vice chairman of rhe Joint C hiefs of Staff, the nation's seco nd highest-ranking military officer. Admiral W innefeld recounted his first meeting in 2000 with A ndy and his fat her, Jack, at a pier-side dinner aboard USS Enterprise, an event orga ni zed to thank them for their contributions toward the History Room onboard rhe Enterprise, and how he came to respect the Taylor family, which worked to honor and support those w ho served our country.
