New York City Pickle Night Dinner This year the National M aritime Historical Society is proud to support the New York City Pickle Night Dinner, named for the 10-gun British Navy sloop Pickle that carried the news of the Battle of Trafalgar back to Great Britain. Held at the N ew York Yacht Club on 9 November, the evening provides an opportunity to hear Lieutenant Commander John Scivier, C ommanding Officer of HMS Victory, Admiral Lord Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar.
