Spread the Red Beginning with the 2011-12 season, the Howling Pack and its Board of Directors launched the Spread the Red campaign with the goal to increase membership from across the state of South Dakota. Great Expectations Scholarships are very important to the success of a Division I institution. Donors who pledge $60,000 (or $15,000 per year over four years) have the opportunity to name their scholarship and designate preference for a sport. Since 2007, over $2 million has been raised through Great Expectations.
Recent Alumni Since 2010, the Howling Pack has offered all recent alumni of the University of South Dakota the opportunity to join. For the first five years after receiving their undergraduate degree, recent alumni receive a Howling Pack membership at the White Club Level ($100-$299) for a reduced price on a graduated scale outlined below. Endowments The Department of athletics generated nearly $107,431.90 from its 41 endowments in 2011-12. As of June 30, 2012, the value of the total athletic endowment was $2,649,544.
