A Queensland Theatre Company production. The erudite Anna and Claire dwell together on the fringes of the Boston elite, but to keep themselves in the lifestyle to which they have become accustomed, Anna has been accepting expensive presents from a wealthy married man who’s become besotted by her. Claire, meanwhile, is aging disgracefully and is set on seducing a much younger woman, and wants not only Anna’s blessing but her help. David Mamet (Speed the Plow, Heist) brings his trademark tart dialogue and impeccable plotting, spiced with Wildean wit, to this wickedly funny comedy that chips away at the pretensions of high society while exploring the compromise needed to keep a marriage alive. Starring award winning actor Amanda Muggleton, Rachel Gordon (Home and Away, ABC’s The Moody’s) and Helen Cassidy. Directed by Andrea Moor (Venus in Fur) 2013 Gold Matilda Award winner. Established in 1970, Queensland Theatre Company is the state’s flagship professional theatre company producing work that excites, amuses, challenges and mesmerises audiences around the country. 14 Theatre and Entertainment

The Fabulous Singlettes A glorious tongue-in-cheek tribute to the legendary girl groups of the 60’s. The Fabulous Singlettes sing up a storm. Their dance moves are to die for with frocks galore and beehives that are a triumph of hairspray over gravity. But it's the impeccable harmonies and sly, camp humour that have made this mega-girl group a hit all over the world: from Sydney to London, Hong Kong to Berlin, and Vienna to Verona. The girls celebrate the 60’s with immaculate covers of the Girl Group era including The Ronettes, The Supremes, The Chiffons, The Shangri-Las and Dusty Springfield. Singing hits like Lady Marmalade, My Guy, Leader of the Pack and Do Wah Diddy, sending up the fashions and attitudes of a glorious era that had most of America's women performers staggering under the weight of hairdo's and lashings of mascara. They swap the beehives of the 60s to the Farrah Fawcett flicks of the 70s in a blistering finale. Though the songs and the attitude may have changed - from pre-feminist beehives and bobby-sox to bra-burning and beyond - the girls still pack'em in and leave 'em cheering for more wherever they perform. Fly In Fly Out A funny and gritty play about growing up in a mining town, dealing with change and serving fried chicken. Jenny lives in a small Queensland mining town: she’s almost finished Grade Ten and is struggling to balance school, her part-time jobs, her wayward sister, her relationships, and everyone’s expectations. When the charismatic Seb flies into town, Jenny’s balancing act is thrown into chaos and her world threatens to collapse around her. Fly In Fly Out looks at how families and communities deal with upheaval and how we strive to adapt. The play examines universal themes through the prism of the mining boom and the influx of fly-in fly-out workers into a small community. Developed in consultation with communities and young people throughout Central Queensland, the show is a must see for audiences of all ages and begins the conversation about what communities can do to develop resilience in the face of change. A Monkey Baa Theatre Company Production

I am Jack Based on the book by Susanne Gervay Adapted by Eva Di Cesare, Tim McGarry and Sandra Eldridge

Based on Susanne Gervay’s inspiring novel, I am Jack explores the journey of a smart, funny, 11 year old boy. Jack is being bullied at school and it is not long before the emotional pressure begins to build inside him. What starts as an off the cuff joke during a handball competition soon turns into a set of circumstances whereby Jack is no longer safe in the school playground. This one man show explores the often overlooked insidious taunting and teasing that bullies are so adept at inflicting on their victims and the roles that family and schools can play in responding. Jack takes us on a touching and sometimes comical journey as he moves from victim to victor. Suitable for 8-14 years old. From the award winning company that brought you, Pete the Sheep, The Bugalugs Bum Thief, Milli Jack and the Dancing Cat and Emily Eyefinger. Directed By Sandra Eldridge. Genre: Family show. Well, what are you waiting for? Come on up! THEY’RE BACK! Yes, that’s right. Andy and Terry had such a ball with their crash-landing entry into the world of theatre with The 13-Storey Treehouse, they’re back for more. 13 storeys more, in fact. AND YOU’RE INVITED! You know what 13 more storeys means. More INVENTIONS – like the 78 flavour ice-cream-dispensing robot and the brain bamboozling Maze of Doom and more things to go WRONG – not least of which is the very real possibility that the entire show is a complete and utter disaster. Will Andy and Terry push their friend Jill to her absolute limits? And who is this shady Hector Houtkop, with a really bad pirate accent? And what about ALL THOSE PIRATES? Adapted by award-winning playwright and author Richard Tulloch (The Book of Everything, Bananas in Pyjamas), The 26-Storey Treehouse is brought to you by the same cracker team that delivered the smash-hit stage version of The 13-Storey Treehouse. Suitable for children 6-12 years and their adults. Genre: Family show. Duration: 60 mins
