We enter into our 20th year with anticipation and commitment to our mission: “Improving the quality of life for adults in Sun City Oro Valley and surrounding areas through grants to support qualified health, cultural, recreational, educational and charitable needs.” Our Foundation is completely independent from the SCOV Association, and together we can elevate and expand the life experiences of our community. Please consider how you can be a donor now and into the future. The Foundation has given over $700,000 since its inception. Our ability to meet grant requests fully depends on your generosity. Every gift we receive is appreciated and used wisely. We have a complete history of where the grant dollars have gone. Since February 2017, the Foundation has awarded a total of $73,073.84 to the following: Views Women’s Golf Club (U of A Cancer Center), Assistance League of Tucson, SCOV Women’s Aux (Emerge!), SCOV Energetic Exercise Club (NW YMCA), Kids Unlimited, Literacy Connects, Painted Sky Thunderbird Resource Center (Tutoring Program), Wheels for Kids, Interfaith Community Services, Youth On Their Own; as well as to various SCOV clubs and groups including AARP Tax Assistance, Balance Class, SCOV Library, SCOV Pop Tennis and the Community Help Group How can you participate as a donor to the Foundation? First and foremost, we are completely funded by donations from SCOV residents. Participation can take place anytime. Our primary fund drive takes place in November and December, but monthly or one-time donations throughout the year are welcomed. Please contact one of the Foundation board members if questions arise. You may send your gift to the SCOV Foundation,1565 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd., Oro Valley, AZ 85755. Individual gift cards can be found in the Welcome Center. Checks are payable to the Sun City Vistoso Community Foundation. Consider the Auto Pay Plan via our website, IRA distributions and estate plans. Thank you for your ongoing participation.
