Terms and Conditions for the Win A Free Phone With SoundBytes Competition 1.

These terms and conditions together with the rules apply to the Win A free Phone with SoundBytes Competition included on the www.scriptureunion.org.au website. By entering the competition, entrants agree to be bound by these rules. The Competition Notice is considered to be the information posted on the website, under the relevant competition heading, and includes entry dates, prize detail and the required information from the contestant.

Scripture Union Australia reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition Notice or these rules at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted within these rules or on the relevant competition notice on the website.

In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the Competition, the decision of Scripture Union shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

Qualifying Entrants 5.

Employees of Scripture Union Australia or any company involved in the Competition or any advertising agency or other company connected with Scripture Union Australia or any such person's subsidiary or associated companies, agents or members of their families or households, are not eligible to enter the Competition. Scripture Union Australia reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.

6.

Additional eligibility requirements apply to the Competition, in that all entrants must be current SoundBytes subscribers and entrants must be a minimum of 11 years of age to enter.

7.

By entering the Competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete.

8.

Scripture Union Australia assumes that by entering the Competition you are eligible to enter the Competition and agree to the rules.

9.

Scripture Union Australia reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions.

10.

In the event that any entrant is disqualified from the Competition, Scripture Union Australia in its sole discretion may decide whether a replacement contestant should be selected. In this event, any further entrant will be selected on the same criteria as the original entrant and will be subject to these rules.

Competition Entries 11.

Multiple entries are allowed, but only the referrals that actually purchase a subscription to SoundBytes by close of business 9 December 2011 will qualify as an entry into the draw.

12.

There is no purchase requirement to enter the Competition and there is no charge to enter.

13.

Scripture Union Australia cannot accept responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorised access to entries, or entries lost or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, virus, bugs or other causes outside its control.

Prize 14.

There is only one prize and therefore only one winner. The prize is a brand new Samsung i9001 Galaxy S Plus mobile phone valued at $699.

15.

The prize winner will be chosen at random from all qualifying entries on 12 December at 11am on Scripture Union Australia’s premises. In all matters, the decision by Scripture Union Australia shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

16.

The prize winner will be notified by email and mail, and the prize shipped as agreed between the competition winner and Scripture Union Australia. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable or failure to contact the winner within 14 days of the draw date may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. The winner’s first name and State of residence will be published on the website www.scriptureunion.org.au

17.

The prize is Not Redeemable for Cash. There is no cash alternative for the prize. Scripture Union Australia reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time.

18.

The prize will be awarded at Scripture Union Australia's discretion and no prize will be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any entrant.

19.

All insurances, connection costs, call costs and other expenses as the case may be, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner.

20.

In the event of no entries being received by close of competition Scripture Union Australia will extend the competition till the 30th January 2012.


Liability 21.

Scripture Union Australia cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the competition or as a result of accepting any prize. Scripture Union Australia is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software failure of any e-mail or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Competition.

Data Protection and Publicity 22.

Scripture Union Australia will not publicise the winner’s name without prior consent from parent or guardian.

23.

Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Australian data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without prior consent.
