About: Tammy is an extremely dedicated employee who started with us in 2004! She is an amazing role model to all the kids she has supervised and she loves her job! She has recently enrolled in Doula classes and will pursue a new career path later this summer. She will be missed by her staff and families who utilize the Sandy Hook KidzRec Site. Tammy loves gardening, music and volunteering. Besides being an awesome mom and employee, she reallllly enjoys her grandkids-Elizabeth, William and Wright. WE WILL MISS YOU! New York City Holiday Trip For ages 6 and over, under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Nothing marks the beginning of the magical holiday season like starting out with a trip to New York City! You will enjoy a 2 night stay at the Manhattan Mid-Town Hotel, located just blocks from Central Park and most major sites.

While there, you will get to enjoy a spectacular New York City night lights tour, that shows displays in department store windows, towering holiday tree, and dazzling strings of lights that transform New York City into a winter paradise unlike any other. We will also visit the 9/11 Memorial & 9/11 Museum, a tribute of remembrance and honor to the victims killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. Also, you will have plenty of free time for holiday shopping, take in a Broadway show or just enjoy New York City! “Noah” Sight & Sound Theatre

For ages 3 and over, under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Two by two, the voyage began. With a catastrophic storm on its way, one man is given a monumental task: build a boat big enough to save his family from a flood that will cover the entire earth. But they won’t be alone. Returning for one season only, this landmark production takes you on board one of the world’s best-known ships, as live animals fill the stage and aisles. Smoky Mountain Adventures in Pigeon Forge

For ages 6 and over, under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Get away with SCPR on many adventures in Pigeon Forge. Join us for these 4 days, 3 nights in June, 2019. We plan to see 4 different shows, Hatfield & McCoy dinner feud, where you will become part of the longest feud in history. Smoky Mountain Opry is some old & new country hits, disco, jiving swing, movie favorites and a little bit of Motown! Magic Beyond Belief featuring world famous illusions thrills, where they bring magic and music together for an incredible show. The Comedy Barn, will be sure to keep y o u laughing until you can’t laugh anymore. It’s an enjoyable show featuring jugglers, ventriloquists, comedians, live country and gospel music. We will visit the Apple Barn Village and Winery, where you can purchase some homemade apple products and unique gifts. If you’re looking for something sweet then you won’t mind when we stop by the Creamery or the Chocolate Factory. Before we leave Pigeon Forge, we will explore the Island that is the one stop for fun all night and day! You can browse through the different boutiques and shops, enjoy a meal at a number of popular restaurants, sit back and listen to live music and watch the dancing fountains. Rock Climbing Trip

For ages 10 and over, under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. This is an introduction to rock climbing and rappelling at Hidden Rocks with WILD GUYde Adventures. Participants will learn harnesses and knots and the belay system, and then spend the day climbing and rappelling. For ages 3 and over, under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Kings Dominion will be magically transformed into a winter wonderland full of enchantment and holiday cheer! Millions of lights and falling snow will adorn the midways and uniquely themed areas. International Street will be transformed into a winter wonderland complete with a 70 foot tall Christmas tree, while the Eiffel Tower is converted into a 300-foot Christmas tree. Catch a performance of Cool Yule Christmas, Jingle Jazz and be dazzled by Snoopy and the gang in Snoopy’s Ice Show. You can enjoy ice skating on Snowflake Lake in the shadow of the iconic Eiffel Tower. Visit the North Pole Post Office where the elves will help the kids mail a letter to Santa, decorate cookies in Mrs. Claus kitchen and more. The holidays are even more cheerful when you can experience some of your favorite attractions. Select rides and attractions will be open for families and friends to enjoy together. 11th Annual Edinburg Doggie Paddle

Bring your K-9 companion out for a dip in the pool and a day of fun doggie activities! You won’t want to miss this fun day. Enjoy the day by the pool and have fun visiting with other dog lovers. Practice up on your tricks and be creative with your costume as you certainly want to join in on those contests. Don’t forget your doggie basket for the doggie bone hunt either! This is a free event but we would ask that you bring a donation of paper towels, peanut butter, laundry detergent, dog food, bleach, toys, etc for the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter who will be on site with some adoptable dogs. Please bring your current rabies certificate with you and all dogs must be on leash except when in pool. Food will be available for purchase on site. For all ages.

Punky Riley Golf Tourney

Age 5-12 with SCPR Staff Let’s go fishin’! Bring your fishing pole, some bait and tackle box as we are going to have a fish-hookin’ good time at the annual Kid’s Fishing Derby. The small ones from last year have surely grown! Prizes given for two different age groups. Sign up early and come fish with us at the Mack and Zula Wagner Park. Parent/guardian are required to stay and help kids. Check-in is at 7:45am, fishing starts at 8am. Pre-registration is required to reserve your spot! PLEASE NOTE: Register by May 26,

The Golf Tournament to benefit the Punky Riley Scholarship Fund will take place on Friday, July 13 at Bryce Resort, with a 1pm “shotgun” start. This four-man, Captain’s Choice golf tourney is a great benefit to local children of all ages, as the money raised helps kids participate in programs and activities throughout the year. In memory of “Punky” Riley, this annual event is vital to keeping his dreams alive and fulfilling his wish that all kids have a chance to participate, so come out and support our YOUTH!!! The cost is just $280 per team. Round up a four-some and join us for a great time, a great cause, and great prizes. Dinner will be included. Also, any local businesses that wish to sponsor a hole for this beneficial golf tourney can call SCPR; fee is $50 per hole. Sign up now, as spots are limited.

Star Gazing “Under the Stars”

All ages welcome. Join the Shenandoah Astronomical Society as they go “Under The Stars” to check out the nightime sky. Telescopes are provided, feel free to bring your own. Dress for the weather, check out Facebook and our cancellation hotline in the event of cloudy skies. All dates will be at the County Park in Maurertown and begins about half an hour after sunset. WCC-Woodstock Crochet Club

Ages 18 and over. Crochet with us on Thursday mornings 10a-12p. This club is ongoing, feel free to just drop in one morning to check us out. We frequently go out to lunch. We make hats, lapghans and bootees for nursing homes and community charities. Sometimes we even work on our own projects. We will be meeting at the Shenandoah County Government Center in Woodstock. Lil Tykes Gymnastics Classes

Beginner Gymnastics Classes

Krafty Kids Camp

Lil Tykes Movement Camp Ages 2-4 with Jennifer Runion. This class will combine movement experiences, body awareness activities, strength building, flexibility exercises, locomotor skills, parachute play, tumbling and balancing in a fun and friendly class environment. Kick Start Kindergarten Camp

Rising kindergarteners with Bizee Bees Preschool. Kick off your school year with Kick Start Kindergarten: a trip to the Big School through your child’s eyes! Children entering kindergarten will not want to miss this exciting, fun-packed adventure. Let us help ease the transition to kindergarten for your youngster! We’ll visit and tour your child’s school including: the office (and meet our big friends too), cafeteria, music room, art room, gyms, library, computer labs, sunken stage, clinic and of course the playgrounds! Your child will learn where their own kindergarten class will be and how to get there. Kindergarteners will participate in fun arts and crafts, songs, plays, role play activities, nursery rhymes and much more. Lil Tykes Romp in the Park Camp

Ages 3-5 with Karenina Baker. Who says little ones can’t have fun, too? Come out to the County Park and throw water balloons, go on a scavenger hunt, toss an egg without breaking it, and cool off with some fun snacks. Enjoy free time on the playground, some Quick Start tennis and maybe even investigate the park’s woods and meadows! Lil Tykes All-Star Sports Camp

Ages 3-6 with Steve Kibler. What kid doesn’t want to be an all-star! This sports camp will cover tee-ball, basketball, soccer and tennis. Each day we will concentrate on the FUNdamentals of a specific sport and have a game at the end of each day. This camp will be lots of fun!

Ages 3 and over w/ Shen Memorial Hospital & Valley Health Staff. This NEW camp for children with special needs will surely be a hit! Every kid deserves a chance to enjoy the summer, fulfill their potential and interact with other children no matter the disability or barrier. This fun group will be run with the help of pediatric Occupational Therapists who specialize in childhood delays and disabilities to ensure the camp is run in a way that all kids are able to participate. The camp will be held once a week for two hours and activities will vary week by week. Make and Take - Rain Barrel Workshop

Ages 6 and over w/ FNFSR. In this workshop you will receive a 50-gallon recycled plastic barrel and all of the materials that you will need to build your own rain barrel. During the workshop, you will drill holes, install the faucet and complete other tasks to allow a barrel to catch rainwater from a downspout for use around your house. Save water and money!
