Found Poem

Creating a Found Poem Students will select a recurring theme in The Book Thief. Students will then find words in The Book Thief to comprise a poem representing their theme. You can use “Pop-Over� Widget for this section.


Research

Research about the text Students will be placed in four groups. Students will read through the set of given chapters to find three quotes. In addition students will find five pictures and one video which aligns with their set of chapters.


Social Media

Character’s Social Media Page Students will choose a character and create an Instagram account for him or her. Students will upload ten pictures to the account using a specific hashtag and description which relates back to The Book Thief. The Instagram widget can be used for this section.


Eulogy

Death’s Goodbye Students will write a eulogy from the perspective of death about one of the characters in The Book Thief.


Timeline

Timeline of Events Students will be given a set of years to research both in and outside of the text. Students will list the important dates and find images to represent the time period. The interactive timeline widget can be for this section.
