The Man Who Sails Time

Welcome to the Flipbook Version of "The Man Who Sails Time".

A little note from me.

This was a short but great advneture into a truly great part of the world. Sulawesi is a favourite of mine so any chance to visit, is always cherished. Putting this together was a bit time consuming but a whole lot of fun. The full hard copy is over on Blurb but at nearlt 100 pages and full colour, it's a pretty expensive project but makes for a great coffee table book.

Making a FlipBook version keeps my photos alive in the layout while being far more accessible for everyone.

Because it's a FlipBook, on many of the pages there are hot spots that link to a number of YouTube videos. You can find them by running your cursor over the pages and the links will show up.

But if you miss them, here's the list which is also linked.

01. Pantai Losari - right in downtown Makassar, a city historically linked with the Spice Trade

02. Final approach in Mamuju - a great flight on Batik Airlines

03. Cuisine on board- good meals from the galley cupboard

04. Sandeqs on the beach - I had waited 20 years to see a Sandeq

05. Transfer to pirate ship - first trip on a real sandeq

06. On deck - built to meet UNESCO World Heritage standards

07. Down below - converted cargo holds

08. Friggin' Riggin' - if you like rigging, this is the place for you

09. Stowing sails - you've been doing it all wrong

10. Reef and shake it out - "we gybe at 3:30"

11. The Last Mile - torture

12. Bugis - maritime marvels

I hope you really enjoy it, a LOT!
