Finding the Information You should make a folder titled TRAVEL in which you will store your work. You should decide where in the United States you would like to travel. Remember you only have $4,000 & one stop has to be educational. Print out all the price confirmations that you find. This will help you in the spreadsheet portion of the assignment. You should also save some pictures when you are surfing for the activities in which you are going to do. Keep a running list of the internet sites in which you found the pictures (they have to be documented-a Word document will help with that). This will help you in the presentation portion of the assignment. Find a flight from Peoria, St. Louis, or Chicago to your destination. Use the links below in order to find your flight:

Locate a rental car for the length of your stay. It is best to pick the rental car up at the airport. Use the link below to find a rental car. Hertz Rental Cars Avis Rental Cars Budget Rental Cars Finding a Hotel - a little hint: If you arrive on Monday and leave on Saturday you don't need a hotel for Saturday night. While you are at your destination of choice, you need to find activities in which you would like to do. Don't forget to print out price confirmations. You might want to search on the Internet by the city in which you are going. This might provide you with more options for activities and food. The hard part is guestimating how much you will spend on eating. You should locate local restaurants, and find a menu with prices. It is good to over-estimate on expenses in which you are not certain on. You will print out the menu and circle the items you & your guest will be eating. This will aid in the food expenses. Remember, your breakfast may be included with your hotel and you can always go to a local grocery store to pick up items for a light lunch. You will

need at least 3 restaurants that you will have a nice dinner while on your trip. It is always fun to enjoy the local cuisine! You probably will want to pick up a few souvenirs for yourself and family. Set aside some of your money for the T-shirt you might want to bring back as well as those corny things they have in gift shops that you just can't live without.

The Itinerary Your Itinerary should be prepared using Word. Make it eye-appealing by changing colors, font sizes, and even attributes. Each day you are on vacation you should have a detailed description on the activities in which you are going to do. You might even include the amount of time you will be spending on the activity.
