Congratulations to Middle School Science Superstars Benjamin Diaz and Rina Mintz!
On March 19th , North Bergen’s own Benjamin Diaz of Horace Mann School and Rina Mintz of Robert Fulton were chosen as participants to compete in the National Broadcom Masters Science Fair - a program of the Society for Science and the Public. Benjamin and Rita will be up against another 3,200 students from around the nation to vie for first prize in the contest. The Broadcom Masters is the largest middle school science event in the country and draws students from over 40 states, Puerto Rico and US territories to present their research and experiments to prestigious judges from universities, organizations and high schools. Benjamin’s project on all-natural potato starch adhesive vs. chemical-based glues, and Rina’s investigation into lefties vs. righties will be among others in this pivotal contest.
