Seesaw Step by Step Guide

Type in the seesaw web address into an internet browser.


This will take you to the following log in screen where you should select ‘I’m a student’


Enter the code on your seesaw log in sheet and press go.


Each lesson will be posted daily in the ‘Activities section’. The lessons will be labelled with the day and date and which subject.


Click on the lesson to open it.


Click on the box to open the lesson


Here you can use the arrows to turn each page of the lesson.


When you have got to the end of the lesson press the cross.


This will take you back to the activity page, where you can press ‘Add Response’ to complete the work that has been set from the lesson.


Press to open a text box to type words Press to record a spoken answer.

If the teacher asks you to write your answer/do the task on paper, you can upload a photograph of it through here.

If you need some help, press this button to record a spoken, or type a written, message for your teacher

Select a pencil and colour to write the answers with the mouse/your finger

This will open the activity that needs to be completed. This can be done straight onto the screen using the features shown above.


Once you have finished press the green tick to send the work to your teacher.


This will take you to your ‘journal’ where all your finished work is stored, ready for your teacher to check.


If you have another lesson for a different subject, you can go back to activities and repeat the steps above for the next lesson.


New lessons will be set each day in the activities. At the end of the week these will be archived by your teacher, ready for the next week.


When your teacher has marked your work you will get a message in your inbox to let you know.


Press the inbox tab and then ‘notifications’ to look at your work after your teacher has marked it.


Here you will see all the work that has been marked. Press on one to open it to check your feedback from your teacher.


At the bottom of your work you will see your teachers feedback.


When you have read and responded to your feedback, press the cross.


This will take you back to your inbox where you can open any other work that has been marked. Or you can go back to activities to complete other lessons.
