Do Bible stories contain a moral? For a child the Bible experience consists of a collection of disjointed stories. Trying to piece those stories together is a bit like trying to build a puzzle without the picture. In this curriculum unit on The Bible, the children will learn to: say no to sin when we are tempted to do wrong, become stronger in their faith, walk in the way of truth by learning right from wrong, learn more about God, give us answers about our faith and what we believe, know what God wants us to do when we are faced with a choice and they will be encouraged by being reminded of God’s promises and faithfulness. Opening Children to think of as many bible stories as they can think of and what they mean to them? Investigations Why do people read books? What can we learn from the story of Joseph? What is a Moses basket? Is it important to trust others? Reflection Children to create their own versions of Bible stories with a message.
