Then... When Richard Churcher founded the school in 1722, he wanted to recognise and support those students who showed the potential to reach the highest standards in a broad variety of disciplines.
The Richard Churcher Foundation was set up to help those pupils who would thrive at Churcher’s, but whose families need some financial support.

Now... Through bursaries, Churcher’s College is helping more children to achieve their potential and become confident, responsible and compassionate adults.
The College offers a breadth of education that goes far beyond the classroom walls, and a diverse student body means that a Churcher’s pupil emerges as a well-rounded, dedicated and determined individual.

Some former bursary students sit on the Foundation Committee and play a key role in determining who will benefit the most from financial support. All the funds raised by the Richard Churcher Foundation go directly into supporting these bursaries.
