Obituaries Katrina Haberman

Katrina Lynn Haberman of Port Clinton was granted her angel wings on the spring afternoon of June 2 in Kissimmee, Fla., following a lengthy illness Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service celebrating Katrina’s life at St John’s Lutheran Church on Adams Street in Port Clinton Ohio at 11 a.m. June 21 with luncheon to follow.

Rosalie Mantkowski Died June 4, 2010 HURON — Rosalie K. (Boysen) Mantkowski (age 67) passed peacefully Friday, June 4, at 4:27 p.m. with family and friends in attendance after a lengthy illness. Rosalie was a graduate of Port Clinton High School Class of 1960, belonged to Cochran’s Majorettes, and was an upstanding member of the Huron Eagles No. 2875. She was an avid reader and gardener. She also was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, devoted to friends and family. She was always there to help, whatever the need. She was often a sought after guest at gatherings, not only for her sparkling personality and great sense of humor, but also for her famous macaroni salad. She is survived by her four sons, Michael (wife Renee), David, Stephen (wife Vicki), and Christopher; grandchildren Justin, Ashlyn, and Alex; her sister, MaryAnne (husband Roger) Mooney; sister-in-law, Joan (Mantkowski) (husband Larry) Butler; nieces and nephews. Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Lydia “Dolly” (Pluckhorn) Boysen; and her husband, James T. Mantkowski. A celebration of Rosalie’s life was held at the Huron Eagles, on Tuesday, June 8. Contributions may be made in her name to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870. Wonda Neumann Aug 10, 1940 — June 13, 2010 Wonda F. Neumann, 69, of Port Clinton, passed away Sunday, June 13, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. A memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Carolyn Joseph at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 19, at the Church of the Nazarene, Port Clinton. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, assisted the family with the arrangements.

Gaylord Vogt Aug. 31, 1930 — June 11, 2010 Gaylord K. Vogt, 79, of Port Clinton, died Friday, June 11, at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. Serices were Wednesday at the Peace Lutheran Church, 900 Jefferson St., Port Clinton. The Rev. Mike Wiechers will officiate.

Margaret Bodnar June 7, 1913 — June 11, 2010 Margaret E. Bodnar, 97, of Port Clinton, passed away Friday, June 11, at Providence Care Center, Sandusky. A Funeral Mass was Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. Burial followed in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton.

Orville Payne Oct. 26, 1918 — June 10, 2010 Orville D. Payne, 91, of Port Clinton, died Thursday, June 10, at Otterbein North Shore Retirement Center, Lakeside. Visitation and services were Tuesday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton St., Port Clinton. Burial followed at Lakeview Cemetery with military honors being given by members of VFW Post No. 2480, Port Clinton. by e-mail and their respective addresses are available on the Web site. nnn
