CAROLINE Wetherington

Caroline Wetherington is a woman of many interests with a background in computer programming, corporate finance and real estate. Wetherington also is focused on philanthropy as a board member of the Lee Wetherington Foundation. A self-described California girl who was raised on a horse farm by a single mom in Southern California, Wetherington earned an MBA from the University of California at Davis, served as a Financial Analyst and Financial Officer at Sterling Software and worked as an information systems consultant for Anderson Consulting. While raising her three children in Sacramento, Wetherington opened her own real estate company. She holds real estate brokers licenses in California and Florida. Through mutual friends, Wetherington met her husband, Lee, five years ago and recently traded in living on their Horizon yacht for a second home on Balboa Island in Newport Beach. The Wetheringtons built their primary

residence–a Lee Wetherington Home–in the Lake Club in 2017. Wetherington also devotes significant time supporting nonprofits through the foundation, focusing on children and veterans issues. Organizations that have been aided include Harvest House, which provides a full continuum of care for homeless families and veterans, and the Boys and Girls Club. Caroline is a proud supporter of FLAGUSA.org, which teaches the Constitution and Bill of Rights designed for children by clerks for the late Justice Antonin Scalia. Wetherington’s wide-ranging interests also include politics and beekeeping. She has two hives in Sarasota to aid honeybees threatened by colony collapse disorder and is a member of the Suncoast Beekeepers Association. Wetherington is devoted to a healthy lifestyle, enjoys cooking healthier versions of comfort food classics, meditates and practices yoga.
