Mad Science Club and Outdoor Explorers. We handle, direct and logistically plan for the Liberty Halloween Parade and Easter Egg Hunt each year. I also act as the Hanofee Day Camp Director, hiring, training and overseeing day-to-day summer camp operations. Years of Experience: I have been with the Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation Department for one year and two months. For 10 years, I coached youth sports and was involved in other recreational activities. Previous Employment: I worked as a Director of Business Development for Randy Resnick and as a Program Manager at New Hope Community. Favorite Part of the Job: Connecting with the community and creating smiles. And the summer at the day camp, with its lake, pool, tennis courts, ballfield and scenic walk.

Age: 33 years old Hometown: I was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming but now live in Liberty, New York. Place of Employment: Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation Department Current Title and Duties: As Assistant Recreation Director, I coordinate recreation, leisure and athletic activities that promote positive community values. This involves coaching, teaching, and mentoring, which has helped enhance our Liberty Warriors football and cheer-leading programs, and Warriors basketball and wrestling. I am joined by an
Most Challenging Part of the Job: Staying organized in light of the numerous programs we offer each season. Favorite on-the-Job Memory: On the football field, one of the players came up to me, grabbed my hand, looked up at me and said, “Thank you, Coach, for believing in me.” It’s incredible to know you’re making a lasting impression. Education: Graduated from Cheyenne Central High School and attended the University of Wyoming, Laramie County Community College and Sullivan County Community College, studying criminal justice as well as business development with a concentration in marketing. Favorite Movie: “The Shawshank Redemption,” for its emphasis on strength, conviction, and belief. Favorite Actor: Tom Hanks. How Do You Spend Spare Time: Hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities with family and friends. Favorite Vacation Spot: Myrtle Beach, S.C. Family: Stepdaughter Paige Lynn Russell, attending Daytona (Fla.) State College, and son Londyn Shai Guara, attending Liberty Middle School, where he is starting quarterback for the Liberty Warriors peewee football team. Civic or Volunteer Affiliations: Liberty Fire Department, Liberty Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Soap Box Derby. I've just completed the NYS Hunter Safety Instructor Course. I am an active coach and board member for the Cal Ripkin Liberty Chapter Youth Baseball League and am involved in the Wellness Committee for the Liberty Central School District.
