The Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission (ICRC) has been offering quality indoor and outdoor recreation programs, youth and adult athletics, after-school programs, environmental education, senior services, cultural art programming, and FUN for more than 40 years.
ICRC operates four signature parks and provides a multitude of engaging activities.
Seven Oaks Park is a full-service recreation complex offering fitness, athletics, instructional and cultural arts programs to the Irmo community since 1973. Seven Oaks Park (SOP) hosts special events, recreation programs, and volunteer opportunities designed for youth, adults, seniors, and individuals with specials needs.
Seven Oaks Park offers visitors the following amenities: • 40,000 square-foot facility • Two full gymnasiums • Fitness area • Dance studio • Art gallery • Meeting rooms • Senior center • Nine athletic fields

Crooked Creek Park is a state-of-the-art recreation complex that opened in 1994 to serve the Chapin area of the Irmo Chapin Recreation District. The park quickly became an integral part of the Chapin community and serves as a recreational and social hub for Chapin residents.
Crooked Creek Park (CCP) offers a wide variety of recreational, cultural, instructional and social activities to visitors of all ages throughout the day.

Crooked Creek Park offers visitors the following amenities: • 53,000 square-foot community center • Full gymnasium • Racquetball courts • Fitness areas • Indoor walking track • Meeting rooms • Six athletic fields • Six tennis courts • Picnic facilities • Paved/unpaved walking trails • Playgrounds • 27-hole disc golf course
Melvin Park is located in the Chapin community, less than a mile from Crooked Creek Park. Melvin Park hosts a variety of athletic tournaments and special events throughout the year. Guests are encouraged to explore, relax and cheer on their teams at the new 71-acre park.

Saluda Shoals Park is just one of the many great places for rest and recreation in the Irmo area. Michael J. and Mary Meech Mungo Park is ICRC’s newest community park, received through a generous donation from the Mungo family. The 116-acre park contains greenspace and trails located in the Irmo community. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the winding trails, open greenspace, serenity and solitude that only nature can provide.
Saluda Shoals Park is a regional park located on a 480-acre natural preserve along the banks of the lower Saluda River. Saluda Shoals Park (SSP) has invited visitors to experience the treasures of the Saluda River through exceptional educational, recreational and cultural opportunities since opening in 1999.
Saluda Shoals Park is just 11 miles from the heart of downtown Columbia, and is the second most visited attraction in the Midlands.
