Partnering to Find Cures & Treatments for Debilitating Eye Diseases & Blindness

Saving Sight is dedicated to partnering with the ocular research and academic communities to help find cures and treatments for debilitating eye disease and blindness. For decades, strong collaborative partnerships between eye banks and researchers have pushed our work forward to help more people. We’re proud to support various ocular research projects and serve as partners in learning and practice for new ophthalmologists beginning their careers.

Researcher Gary Peh, Singapore Eye Research Institute

Saving Sight has partnered with Dr. Peh since 2016 to distribute tissues for his research endeavors. The main scope of the Singapore Eye Research Institute’s research involves the isolation and propagation of human corneal endothelial cells in order to better understand cellular biology. Ultimately, the knowledge gained through the research will be applied towards the development of a tissue-engineered corneal endothelial graft material for the treatment of corneal blindness.
