Deep FoamJection (DFI) Considered an upgrade to standard concrete raising, Deep FoamJection is a the process by which foam is injected deeper into the ground so as to increase the load bearing capacity of substrates. Installing foam deeper into the ground is done in order to repair the subgrade that allowed the the slab to settle in the first place. DFI is not only the process by which soil strength is improved, but the surface above the soil can also be lifted within the same process, be it concrete slabs, asphalt or gravel. These types of lifts can be applied to numerous types of infrastructure such as roads & highways (asphalt), railroads (gravel), rural roads (gravel/dirt), bridges (asphalt/concrete) and much more. Knowing where to install injection points and how much material to pump can differ from job to job. For more precise placement, the use of testing tools, soil analysis and engineering reports serve as important means in evaluating each situation. Post-project soil testing can verify the results achieved by injecting foam. DFI can address common problem areas that may occur due to events such as the installation or removal of water mains (thus disrupting the soil), weak soils can be created when houses or buildings are built or disturbed soil usually within four feet of a newly constructed foundation. DFI can be compared to tree roots. As a tree grows, the roots sprawl out in different directions. It is often suggested that in order to prevent soil erosion, plant trees that develop root systems. The root system intertwines with earth, binding it together. In short, DFI creates man-made root systems.

ADVANTAGES OF DEEP FOAMJECTION

DEEP FOAMJECTION (DFI) FOR ASPHALT

DEEP FOAMJECTION (DFI) FOR ROAD GRAVEL

Repair unstable soils in addition to lifting/levelling surface area. Installation of a stronger foundation to support structures that have settled. Foam follows the path of least resistance and fills in weak areas. Fills fissures and ground voids. Fills voids holding water and permanently displaces collected water. Increases load bearing capacity of subgrade. Permanent repair. Foam never changes shape or absorbs ground water. Foam permeates weak soils upon expansion, binding and solidifying loose soils Eco-friendly, does not leach chemicals into the ground.

FILLFOAM – VOID FILLING

FillfoamTM is a pre-expanded foam formula with ideal characteristics for any void-filling applications. Pumped at full capacity, FillfoamTM does not lose volume when pumped in confinement. FillfoamTM is a versatile, hydro-insensitive, pre-expanded foam with many uses for geotechnical applications. The foaming reaction does not generate heat, allowing it to be used to fill voids of any size. Foam density can be easily adjusted on site, allowing the installer to tailor the foam to fit any requirments. No project is too large or too small. FillfoamTM is the IDEAL solution for void filling challenges and can fill any void, including

Mines

Tanks

Wells

Sinkholes

Pipes

Culverts

Tunnels

And much more…

FillfoamTM is an organic material that is a resin blown foam. This foam is nitrogen rich and harmless to the environment. Nitrogen is non toxic (78% of the air we breathe contains this gas.) FillfoamTM is lightweight, durable, solvent free, non-toxic, inert, non-flammable, and rot-resistant to both fresh and salt water. FillfoamTM is developed by combining three components. Air, resin, and a hardener. Air can be adjusted to control the density of the product. The resin is aerated into foam and then mixed with the hardener. There is a polymerization reaction between the resin and hardener. This process cures the outer shell of the cell to develop into inert foam. When this happens, the components of both resin and hardener are consumed. Water is the only bi-product of FillfoamTM.

Environmental Impact of FillFoam™

What is FillFoam™ Made of? FillFoam™ is an organic material that is resin blown. It is nitrogen rich and is harmless to the environment. Nitrogen is not toxic since about 78% of the air we breathe contains this gas. It is lightweight, durable, solvent free, non-toxic and inert, non-flammable, and rot-resistant to both salt and fresh water. This material can be removed and re-purposed to grow plants. It is biodegradable and the perfect substrate for agricultural purposes.

Advantages of FillFoam™ Compares to Alternatives? • The installation process of FillFoam™ is less invasive to the environment because there is little to no on site excavation. Once installed, some formulas of FillFoam™ are able to stabilize the soil without disturbing or redirecting natural water flow. Other formulas can stop water flow. • FillFoam™ is transported as a concentrate. Requiring less trucking and transport pollution than alternatives. • FillFoam™ can absorb and retain water from surrounding soils that are over-saturated or overburdened by water. This water can be retained until it is drawn out from soils or plant life requiring water. Carrying this extra weight from water does not impact the strength or structure of the foam.

Bandit Soil Treatment What is Bandit? Bandit Soil Treatment solidifies loose & granular soils. Eliminating erosion while creating a barrier that no weeds can penetrate. 5 gallons will treat anywhere from 60 to 300 square feet of material depending on application requirements and lasts for years.

Bandit Strength Depending on the amount of Bandit that is applied per sq. ft. and the type of granular material being used, the compression strength will vary. Bandit was lab-tested using smaller ''pea-gravel". With 10 oz per sq. ft. being applied, the compressive strength was an astonishing 11.8 mpa. Note: 10 mpa concrete is commonly used for patios and walkways.

Applying Bandit • Bandit can be applied by simply pouring it onto the soil that is to be treated. • For larger projects, Bandit can be applied by spraying. • Bandit can be injected into the ground to support items such as posts, or to solidify the

ground for above surface struct.ures.

Projects: Soil Erosion

Weed Control When applied on top of the ground, Bandit acts as the ultimate weed barrier. Once Bandit has cured, it forms an impenetrable crust that vegetation cannot grow through. Not to mention it looks great!

Bandit Soil Treatment is a low viscosity, single component resin, designed to bind and stabilize loose soils. When applied topically Bandit creates a barrier, helping eliminate soil erosion.
