Dru Lamborn Dru is a summer baby- born in July. She is excited to be part of work-based learning. She currently works with Bodaford Realty. Dru would say that her biggest achievement to date would be surviving the military brat lifestyle.
She has met that challenge head on by having parents who are a huge support system! Dru plans on attending Savannah Real Estate Academy and majoring in Real Estate.

“Memories are the key not to the past, but to the future.” – Corrie Ten Boom 1. Find a photographer who will sit down and discuss your vision for your session. During my consultations, we discuss how you want your senior pictures to look. We go over everythingYour personality, clothing styles, locations, props. 2. Discuss with your photographer the best time of day to do your session. Ask your photographer to scout your preferred locations during the time that she wants to shoot to make sure that there are no surprises during your session. All of my senior sessions are done the hour before sunset in order to provide the best lighting for your portraits. 3. Bring many clothing choices! Discuss with your photographer what styles work best with your location and the look that you are wanting for your session. Once you have an idea of the style you want, you then should add layers to the look. Bring accessories such as hats, glasses, a scarf, different jewelry, a jacket. This adds personality and texture to your images and can change your look dramatically with little time and effort.
4. Be yourself. God only created one you, and you are amazing. Shine like you believe it! When you have confidence, it comes through in your portraits and no one looks better than a confident you!

"Real Cooking is more about following your heart than recipes..."
Easy Peasy Crock pot Meals Cooking as a family is fun, but when a busy mom meets work, practice, games, and homework- you need something to make life easier. Crock-pot meals are a great way to feed your family without much prep. Just toss it in the crock pot in the morning and dip it out at dinner time.
Portobella Chicken INGREDIENTS 4 frozen bone-in chicken breast halves 8 portobello mushroom caps 1 (8 ounce) bottle Italian-style salad dressing 1 (8 ounce) package angel hair pasta
Step 1 Place the frozen chicken breasts into a slow cooker, and arrange the mushroom caps on top of the chicken so that about half the mushrooms are facing up. Drizzle the dressing over the chicken and mushroom caps.rizzle sauce over the top.
Step 2 Place the lid on the slow cooker, turn it to the Low setting, and cook until the chicken breasts are no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear, about 6 hours. Step 3 A few minutes before serving, fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Stir in the angel hair pasta, and return to a boil. Cook the pasta uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta has cooked through, but is still firm to the bite, 4 to 5 minutes. Drain well in a colander set in the sink. Step 4 Divide the hot, cooked pasta among four plates, top each plate with a chicken breast and two mushroom caps, and drizzle sauce over the top.

Did someone say cookies?
One of my daughter's favorite memories is baking cookies in the kitchen with mom. In each issue of Senior Shine, I will add a cookie recipe. Maybe your family will find a new favorite!
Quick Lemon Crisps INGREDIENTS 2 cups all-purpose flour ¾ teaspoon baking soda 1 pinch salt ¾ cup shortening 1 cup white sugar 2 (3 ounce) packages instant lemon pudding mix 3 eggs
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Step 2 Sift flour with baking soda and salt. Cream shortening, and then add sugar and pudding mix. Cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs and mix well; then add flour mixture. Mix until wellblended. Drop teaspoonfuls of dough onto greased baking sheets. Step 3 Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven.

Lou Lou's Corner Meet Lindsey Rene'. She is 17 and full of life. She is edgy and artsy (and sweet- but don't tell her I said that). Her passions include art and cooking. Tuesdays are her favorite day because is pasta day!
