As humpty dumpty

Fell from the wall

You whispered these words,

So cryptically,

To my heart:

The end of a matter

Is better than its beginning.

And for the life of me

I couldn't figure out

What You were talking about.

But as the London bridge

Came falling down

You softly spoke these words,

So mysteriously.

To my soul:

The end of a matter

Is better than its beginning.

And for the life ofme

I couldn't figure out

Where You were leading me.

But as I sang,"Ashes, ashes.

We all fall down"

You gently touched my wound.

So comfortingly,

And said:

The end of a matter

Is better than its beginning.

And now I can finally see

You were taking me away

From this desolate place.
