Satyajit Mal is an Urban Designer/Planner and an Architect having a diverse experience of 6 Years working in India, Thailand, Vietnam, Russia & Indonesia. He started his career under the guidance of India’s First Pritzker Winning Architect, B.V.Doshi. Since then, he has worked on a variety of projects with different geographical conditions and stakeholders. His professional skillset and multidisciplinary outlook toward planning projects involve Urban Design – Planning with Sustainable & Climate-Resilient Strategies, Place-Making Principles, Peopleoriented Strategies and Participatory Planning. He has been extensively involved in managing and delivering large scale masterplans, Transit-Oriented Development, Tourism Masterplans, Mixed-use development, Residential Townships, Industrial Masterplans, Policy Frameworks, Urban Regeneration Plans and Island Based Developments. Through his professional engagement, he has developed strong analytical and design narrative skills along with management skills.

Satyajit has recently finished his Second Level Professional Master’s as an Erasmus Mundus Scholar in Architecture, Landscape and Archaeology from Italy, Portugal & Greece. His interests are context-specific Urban Design-Planning, Transit-oriented developments, Urban Ecology, Landscape and Archaeology.
