Peer-to-peer listeners

In many situations, having someone to talk to can lighten our load; when we are listened to this helps us to feel valued.

Therefore we have trained a group of staff from across the Trust as Peer to Peer (P2P) Volunteers to help support colleagues. P2P are trained to provide confidential, non-judgmental peer support, signposting to other internal contacts where appropriate. P2P listeners are trained in supportive listening skills but they won’t be acting as counsellors. The final word...

Just wanted to say thank you so much to the (Day Surgery, PRH) team who were brilliant with my little boy today while having a tooth extracted. From the receptionist to the guys in theatre to the nurses, everyone went out of their way to make our stay as lovely as possible. Nothing was too much trouble and you really made us feel comfortable and secure. I really appreciate the extra mile, thanks everyone, you do an awesome job! Thank you for being so lovely and reassuring at all times. You definitely helped mummy get through the tough bits, too!
