A career as an artist or designer calls for creative vision, an interest in exploring new ideas, a strong aesthetic, a keen eye for detail and sense of form and colour.

These can be applied in a variety of settings - working independently as a freelancer or as part of a team - and usually for clients. Good interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication, networking and teamwork. While work can offer a lot of variety and excitement, the industry is highly competitive, so the ability to be flexible is an advantage.
