WHY SASKATCHEWAN? SASKATCHEWAN POLYTECHNIC CAMPUSES MOOSE JAW CAMPUS Saskatchewan Polytechnic Moose Jaw Campus is home to our co-operative education programs in Engineering Technology and Business, where students can take advantage of paid co-op work terms to enhance their education. With many tourist attractions within the city, Moose Jaw is a smaller city with a population of around 35,000. PRINCE ALBERT CAMPUS Located in the city of Prince Albert, this campus is the hub of post-secondary education in north central Saskatchewan. Operating out of two buildings situated within walking distance of each other, Prince Albert Campus offers a friendly, comfortable and supportive learning environment. Prince Albert, with a growing population of 45,000 is located within driving distance of many of Saskatchewan’s beautiful lakes, a popular destination in the summer for locals and tourists alike. REGINA CAMPUS Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Regina Campus is located in the province’s capital city. The programs offered at this campus provide opportunities for students to upgrade their education and to prepare for rewarding careers in Construction, Health Sciences, Human Services and Community Safety, Information and Communications Technology, and Nursing. Also known as the Queen City, Regina has a population of 235,000. SASKATOON CAMPUS Located near the heart of Saskatoon, this campus offers full-time programs, part-time courses and customized training in a wide range of industries including BioSciences, Health Sciences, Hospitality and Tourism, Mining, Energy and Manufacturing, and more. Saskatoon is the largest city in the province with a population close to 300,000.

HEALTH BENEFITS

International students who come to Canada directly from another country are eligible to receive coverage in Saskatchewan upon arrival. You must fill out the health services card application to receive these benefits.

IMMIGRATION

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program has a special sub-category just for students who graduate from Saskatchewan Post-Secondary institutions. WHEN SHOULD I APPLY?

You should apply for a program as early as possible. The majority of Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s programs begin in September. There are also some January options, primarily within the School of Business. You must also meet our English language requirements. For information about these requirements, visit: saskpolytech.ca/ELPrequirements.pdf. Most programs use the First Qualified/First Admitted (FQFA) process. Ensure that you allow enough time for us to review your application and for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to process your application for a study permit. IRCC lists processing times, by visa office, at cic.gc.ca/english/ information/times/temp/students.asp. For more information about applying to Saskatchewan Polytechnic as an international student, see saskpolytech.ca/ International/apply. Note: There is a different application process for Sask Polytech’s Power Engineering Technology program and Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
