Who are we? → Biggest social body on campus → National level NGO started by BITSians in 2005 in Pilani → Started in Goa in 2007 → Presence in 5 cities in India → Goa chapter – only one to have most of its work concentrated in an Urban Slum
What do we do? → An Urban Slum – Zari right across our campus → Operations divided into 3 main verticals and few other projects → Employment Operations Helping unemployed women become self sustainable through Self Help Groups and Vocational Training
→ Health Operations Work concentrated on sanitation and health advancement for social development
→ Knowledge Operations Empower kids and youth through value based education
→ School Adoption Program Improve the infrastructure in below par schools
→ Career Counselling Aims to provide quality information to students about various career options
→ Participative Community Development Aims to see visible development of the community through active participation of the people
→ Joy of Giving Week National festival of Philanthropy celebrated
→ Blood Donation Camp Organised on campus annually
