Link X is an atrium addition to Link Hall, home to Syracuse University’s College of Engineering and Computer Science. The project evokes the historical progression of structural tactics, from ancient monolith, to modernist frame, to contemporary curtain system, composed to create a spectrum of individual and collaborative study spaces.

Glo-zone capitalizes on contemporary infatuation with Instagram-able locations as a catalyst for economic development and placemaking. Both installation and infrastructure, Glo-zone deploys a flexible venue for visual and product-related consumerism with an identity that is generated directly from Los Angeles and the Port.

FA B R I C AT I O N CONVOY 2.0 Biel, Switzerland| Summer 2015 Professors Roger Hubeli and Julie Larsen Collaboration with CEMEX Research Group, AG., Apoorva Rao, Danya Li, Mike Liu, Fang Shu,
Ela Krebs, Christopher Walker, Nivedita Keshri, Kun Lu, Conor Driscoll, & Yun Qing Hu. This outdoor bench and grill station is a prototype to identify the potentials of CEMEX Research Group’s innovative concrete mixtures. The unique aggregate created for this design allowed for thin sheets of concrete to be folded into place.

A house for twin collectors, an introvert and an extrovert, who share a collection of luxury trunks. The project confronts multiple dualities, introvert and extrovert, house and collection, storage and display, while drawing from a formal lineage of the Venetian palazzo typology.

This parking structure for Fenway Park baseball stadium adapts to various temporal conditions, including game and non-games days and the possible relocation of the stadium. The project seeks to animate space that is typically underutilized on non-event days.

This submission for an international sustainable housing competition relies on aquaponics to combat Syracuse’s status as a food desert. The south-facing tower houses rotating garden beds that are watered and fertilized by fish tanks on the top floor. This allows residents to be fully self-sustaining both in energy and food production.

New York State Green Building Conference Best Undergraduate Architecture Project
The following images show an urban building energy model (UBEM) developed for the accurate simulation of operational and embodied energy performance of a neighborhood in Austin, TX. The UBEM can be calibrated with existing data sets on the neighborhood’s energy usage and then used to iterate and test various urbanscale design strategies, identifying effective solutions for improved neighborhood energy performance. The aspiration of these types of simulations is to provide housing occupants with options to reduce their energy usage such as shading windows and installing better insulation.
