PH    Yeah, I think one of the big tenants here in Local Projects is this concept of learning by doing. That’s a natural way that we as humans make liter-

SM       How do you make those connections when your audience is so diverse? That’s something that I’m really interested in in terms of designing for a multicultured audience.

PH    Yes, I would agree. I think a lot of times that connection is when you walk into a museum, you have this kind of content that’s delivered to you and you may connect with it to a certain extend in terms of understand it, but what we strive for is kind of a depth of connection with that content in a way that helps you understand it deeper and remember it longer, be able to integrate it with your life as something that you’ve actually learned, as opposed to just heard at the museum. It’s about using an experience or designing something in such a way that that interaction helps you connect with it deeper as opposed to just seeing it.

It could be applied to anything, but for us specifically it’s both about telling a story but also making them change for the visitors and then for the world at large.
