Some women are so captivated by the glow and radiance pregnancy has bestowed upon them that the idea of sitting for maternity portraits is as exciting as the idea of having a baby itself. Others, however, may be so overwhelmed by the transformation of their bodies that the prospect of a photo shoot is questionable at best.

Wherever your feelings may lie on this spectrum, you have a unique opportunity in this moment to document your child’s growth before you ever set eyes on them. Whether this is your first pregnancy, or you’re a seasoned veteran, each baby delivers a unique experience to this world that deserves to be captured. If there is ever a time to entrust yourself to the hands of a professional photographer, it is during this time. Professional maternity photography is not the snap of a camera phone or a few shots taken on a whim in your kitchen. It is working with someone who understands that certain poses will photograph better than others, and lighting is key. With a bit of guidance, your photographs will look as radiant as you hopefully feel.

For your session, I provide you with the option of shooting in a private location, such as your home or my studio, where you can bare as little, or as much, of your belly (and body) that you care to. You may also opt for a less intimate session by selecting outfits and a location that has meaning to you and will provide a wonderful backdrop for the “before” pages in your Baby Book.
