PICTURE BOOKS By Author
After creating I’m a Dirty Dinosaur for a touring poetry project, Janeen Brian decided it might work as a picture book. While her primary objective was that the book be fun, she had to make sure the rhythm and rhyme were just right so the text would flow smoothly. We’re confident that I’m a Hungry Dinosaur will, like its predecessor, fulfill Janeen’s hope that “children’s eyes light up when they see the book” and that it “helps children have fun with language.”

A gorgeous new rhyming picture book about our favorite little dinosaur, who is hungry! Shake, stir, mix, bake . . . This little dinosaur just loves cake!
Right from the start Ann James knew she wanted to draw I’m a Dirty Dinosaur with a magic pencil. Then came the inspiration … to use “lovely, squishy clay mud!” So when I’m a Hungry Dinosaur came along, Ann naturally looked to the kitchen. What fun to incorporate flour, cocoa, icing and sprinkles in the illustrations, sure to inspire some rumbly tummies and cake baking!
