On My Way As sung by Phil Collins

Tell everybody I’m on my way New friends and new places to see With blue skies ahead Yes I’m on my way And there’s nowhere else that I’d rather be

ADHESIVE SKINS & INSTANTIATED BLOCKAGES

01 Don’t Ask Me Why As sung by Billy Joel

Project Statement This project was developed from understanding the sequence of a biological genetic mutation. Starting with a non-architectural process and creating a physical building program allowed for the exploration of a new way of architectural thinking. Sickle cell anemia demonstrated bulging, clamping, lengthening, and other actions that can also describe architectural spaces. This has illuminated a new perspective of conceptual design. JOINT REHABILITATION: SENIORS & COMPANIONS

02 Take It Easy As sung by The Eagles

Project Statement San Francisco is home to diversity, culture, but also varieties in social class. As most are aware, the homeless situation becomes more grave each year, but people do not realize that unsheltered people are no different than any other person here in the city. Homeless shelters have become the name they are given, but instead, they are sanctuaries and places of rest for those in need and should be treated as such. DIRECTIONAL CIRCULATION

03 Make a Memory As sung by Jon Bon Jovi

Project Statement Participating in a theatrical or orchestral performance brings joy to both the performers and audience members because of the common passion for music and entertainment. Performing is as interactive as viewing, therefore creating secondary viewing platforms in this multi-dimensional theater allows for all to enjoy the show.

Site Framing - parts of the vectors extend out to the edges of the site as well as the streets to frame the boundaries of the effected context. Major Axis - these represent intersecting actions that serve as the main radial point and origination of the extending vectors Radial Movement - this serves as that main point where pieces are projecting from Primary Vectors - the main radiating actions that point outwards towards the site and context Secondary Vectors - these vectors radiate from the primary vectors and serve as additional extensions

04 Soak up the Sun As sung by Sheryl Crow

Project Statement History is a collection of chronological events that present information of the past that can teach us about the present and future. The natural environment is filled with the unexpected and can bewilder those who explore it. The combination of definitive history and unforseen natural growth can create an environment of learning and wonder that can live within us longer than the experience itself.
