about me Abel Santos My name is Abel Santos, I was born and raised in a Christian family which helped me find Jesus and accept Him as my own Saviour at the age of 12. I have always served the Lord in my church being involved in ministries like worship, teaching and discipleship. I am graduated in Information Technology and my passion is to help people achieve excellence in all they do. I learned English and 2 more schools to be prepared culturally. In 2002 I went to South Africa and Mozambique for the first time and I was so blessed that before I left I asked God to take me back to that land when the time was right.

Some personal experiences: ? English teacher since 2006 with a vast experience teaching in different schools around Brazil. ? Missionary work in several places in Brazil and abroad. cross-cultural experience working with teams in the USA,

South Africa and Mozambique. ? Interpreter for international groups in areas of need in Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba and in Africa. I have also worked translating evangelism, discipleship and training resources. DTS (Discipleship Training School) – a course designed to help young people understand God more deeply, live more like Jesus and identify their unique gifts and purpose to use in missions. DTS emphasizes cross-cultural exposure and global awareness, preparing students to answer the call to "Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations" Matthew 28:19. (http://www.ywam.org/Training) Perspectives: a Christian education course designed to help believers learn more about God's heart for all nations and how believers worldwide can play an active role in the Great Commission. (http://www.perspectives.org) The Ultimate Goal – TUG is a network of local and international churches, para-church organisations and ministries all working together on one common goal: to bring hope and change to South Africa. Riding on the excitement of the 2010 event, numerous partnership strategies were launched to capture the golden opportunity of transforming the youth of Africa through values and behavioral change. (http://www.theultimategoal.co.za/) YWAMKICKOFF2010 – A ministry from Youth With A Mission as the 2010 FIFA World Cup" took place in South Africa. Thousands of Soccer Fans went to watch the games, we had a great opportunity to reach out with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We did that in creative ways such as drama, arts, music, dance, sports, etc, and also with a 24/7 Intercessory Prayer. (http://www.ywammuizenberg.org/ywamkickoff.htm)

Kid's Games – a sports and values based program for 6-14 year olds where companies, churches, schools, community groups, sports organizations and local government can all work together to serve. Samaritan's feet – a team of global ambassadors to touch the lives of men, women, and children across the world in an effort help the nearly 300 million people who go without shoes each day, and the more than a million who die (Dying without Shoes) each year as a result. Missions Partnership Project The great commission The body of Christ has the calling to share about the Person and teaching of Jesus Christ all over the earth. It is our goal as a group and as individuals, to do this. You and I were made for the glory of God and we have a destiny in Him to reach out every tribe, people, language and nation. The DNA of my calling Mobilize and equip as many people as possible from all ages encouraging them to love God and serve Him with their abilities using every opportunity and events to make Jesus known. Base on II Tim 2:2, 1 and Matthew 28:19

YWAM Youth With A Mission is an international volunteer movement of Christians from many backgrounds, cultures and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Our purpose is simply to know God and to make Him known. When YWAM began in 1960, our main focus was giving young people opportunities to demonstrate the love of Jesus to the whole world, according to His command in Mark 16:15. Today, we still focus on youth, but we have members of almost every age and many of our short-term efforts have grown into long-term endeavours that have impacted lives and nations. YWAM has a decentralized structure that encourages new vision and the exploration of new ways to change lives through training, convey the message of the gospel and care for those in need. We are currently operating in more than 1000 locations in over 180 countries, with a staff of over 18,000.

Tools to develop my ministry Teaching English reaching out students through relationship. Mobilize and equip volunteers to do personal evangelism, discipleship and service. Praise and worship using music as a tool to do e evangelism and discipleship. Use Sports Events to share the message of Jesus Christ to the nations. Brazil is going to host 2 of the major Sports Events, the World Cup in 2014 and The Olympic Games in 2016. Sports open great opportunities for the Christian Community to serve and through serving we can share the Gospel of Jesus to many, even from “closed” countries, which will be walking around our streets during such time.

My desire is to: -

Help people catch the vision for the impact that can be made and the role we can play. Make connections between the many agencies and thousands of churches that can make it happen. Help coordinating the production of the resources and action needed. Provide training for volunteers equipping them on how to be effective on their own community.

Long term goals: More than Gold and Forever2012: Be part of the team that is working with the Olympic Games in London.

TESOL: I want to take TESOL course. (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages)

YWAMKICKOFF2014: Help coordinate the project to mobilize and do the logistic for national and international mission teams before and during the World Cup in Brazil.

Rio2016 – serve the churches in Rio de Janeiro during the time leading up to the Olympic Games in 2016. page 03

You can do missions! As you can see, doing missions is not only going into the field and evangelize. There are many ways for you to get involved with the Great Commission. So I would like to invite you do be part of my ministry. We have been living this truth that “missions is done with the feet of those who go, knees of those who stay and the hands of those who contribute” That has given us a better conscience of the Kingdom’s values: interdependence, relationships, cooperation, faith, generosity and so on… I have so much to share about God’s faithfulness regarding my needs. He has been good to me. I feel peace about raising support so I can achieve a basic stability to both continue the work and expand what I have been doing.

We work with international mobilization in missions through YWAM. As the biggest missions agency we also suffer huge attacks. We need prayer support to cover us before God. 1. Pray for my family: we left our loved ones, to do missions full time. Please pray for protection and grace over their lives. 2. Pray for my health and deliverance: sometimes the struggles come through sickness and danger. 3. Pray for more staff: there is a lot that can be done but few people. Pray that God would send more workers, especially professionals. 4. Pray for technical resources: hardware, software, tables, logistic material for trainings and multiplication on the mission field.

YWAM as called to work through partnership support, we make a network of people with whom we have relationship with. We depend on God and His people to provide for our needs as a mission and individuallyl. We believe that this personal system promotes responsibility, interdependence, communication and a lot of prayer. The support team is involved in the process as a partners in ministry. The YWAMers give themselves, their time and skills to God through missions.
