The Crossing - In progress Dallas,TX

The of

design of the site

the Crossing came after a deep analysis and a profound marketing research.

The crossing is situated a busy intersection and yet in a strategic location. Close to downtown, on the way to Dallas main airport, at doorstep of restaurants and especially of the Kathy trail, the building has all the numbers to become one of the favorite apartment living in Dallas. Out of the buys streets the Crossing wants to offer a quiet, serene and sophisticated space where people can feel really home while enjoying all the possibilities that the 21st Century has to offer. The Lobby Interior Canopy wants to connects with the exterior roads and lead your way home. Calm and luminous the theme of the lobby continue on the main Amenity level and the public corridors. The main motive shifts only on the roof deck, where a moody and sophisticated sky lounge is the background for the uninterrupted city views.

MAIN AMENITY LEVEL PLAN

The Fifth - In Progress Des Moine,IA

The Fifth Residential was design with a really minimalistic concept in mind. The owners, passionate art collectors, want to make sure that Art has a big part in this project. To make their vision come through, the design approach is similar to the design of a Museum. White walls are just a canvas where art can be displayed and be part of the experience. The tone is set as soon as you enter in the lobby, and it goes all the way to the 40th floor where you can find the main Amenity space. The art is the absolute protagonist, but yet the design make you feel welcome and at ease. All the details have been carefully pondered to carry the tone of solemnity and sophistication given by collection, and still there is a balance of tones and given from the woods and stones selected for this

through the art warmth project.

Like in all humans life there is a little struggle between the tension to reach the ultimate beauty and the balance of our daily life.

THE PARAGON Chicago,IL | 2019

The Paragon is a 48 story residential tower in Chicago’s South Loop. The building features a lavish, full-floor amenity deck above the parking levels with an outdoor pool, lounge, and gatherings spaces. An exterior lawn space is located on top of the building, providing residents with bird’s eye views in all directions. The pillar of the design concept were air and light: like the architecture that wants to represent a Chinese lantern illuminating Chicago skyline the 7th floor amenities spaces want to be a comfortable space for residents to hang out and socialize. Among those amenities a co-working space to give the opportunity to residents to work and play without leaving the building. Slightly darker tones appear at the sky lounge on the 47th floor, that not only feature a lounge in the sky, a full kitchen party room and a state of the art business center, but also a winter garden with a biowall that face a beautiful garden in the clouds. Paragon was truly designed to be a beacon of possibilities.

5252 is located in the heart of Hyde Park. Close to the lake and the parks is the perfect location if you want to be in the city but enjoy all the perks of a more relaxed life. The design concept starts of the building and all

from the

the historic location surrounding amenities.

Hyde Park has that vintage feeling that takes you back to the former glory. The design wants to embrace and emphasize that. Deep colors and textures are the motif that brings visitors from the Lobby to the tiky bar (inspired by an old tiki bar on the property) on the roof deck. The dramatic new apartments at 5252 make an impression with distinctive finishes, high ceilings and spacious open floor plans. 5252 throws you back to that glamour and cozy atmosphere of the 1920s and it is the perfect place if you want to live in a serene and luxurious place.

465 North Park Chicago,IL | 2018

465 North Park is a 54-story apartment tower located in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood. The interior design focuses on spaces that engage with the city still offering a break from that same city. A neutral palette creates a sense of timeless elegance throughout the building. Inspired by the textures of the urban fabric, different materials create a multitude of layers, yet are quieted by their tonal uniformity. Natural materials such as wood and stone are used in response to the city’s influence, using straight lines, grid patterns, and clean geometries in their arrangement. The two-story lobby doubles as a large resident lounge, seamlessly connecting to the neighborhood and activating the block through floor-to-ceiling glass. The design for the lounge mimics the style of a hotel lobby by offering a variety of seating styles and clusters. A beautiful sculptural floating stair leads to an open mezzanine, offering a complementary coffee bar, co-working space and the building’s leasing office. Located on the sixth floor, the main amenity level remains connected to the energy of the city with a large outdoor deck nestled within the surrounding urban context. The hustle and bustle of the city fades away on the 38th floor, which features a smaller, quieter sky lounge with terrace. As designers we helped commissioning several original pieces of art to create distinction throughout the community spaces. Worth mentioning a large sculpture inspired by the building’s leaf-like floor plan is composed of hundreds of acrylic leaves and hangs from the ceiling in the main lounge on the amenity floor, creating an “Instagrammable” moments. EUGENIE TERRACE Chicago, IL | 2017

This 4,000-square-foot interior renovation at Eugenie Terrace challenged the design in converting a previously dated and dark lobby into a bright, open space that greets residents as they enter their home. By moving the new reception desk from the back wall to be closer to the entrance, the desk is now more visible and welcoming to residents. The space has also been revitalized by adding added custom millwork, new flooring, and seating in the lobby. The walls and columns are now clad in wood, which helps to brighten the space. An art piece and a grand chandelier were installed in the elevator core, which further modernizes the entryway. In addition to the lobby the renovation consisted in the sky lounge, located on the 44th floor, to include new modern furniture. The millwork and lighting was also updated to accentuate the open lounge space. Eugenie Terrace is an unique building at the hearth of Lincoln Park. With the design we just wanted to be able to bring the building back to the original splendor.

505 Nashville - Awarded Best Amenity Design Nashville,TN | 2017

505 is a 45-story residential tower located in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee. The design for the community spaces throughout the building was influenced by 505’s location in “music city” with subtle musical references including curved wood ceilings imitating a guitar, staggered linear lighting echoing piano keys, and geometric pendant lights hung in a rhythmic manner, suggesting the notion of music notes. It was not forgotten though, that this building will be home for many people. So if there is a subtle reference to the music city, upon entering the building, the residents can transition from the vibrancy and activity of downtown into a calm, serene oasis. This sense of respite emanates from Asian-infused design elements throughout the lobby, including an interior bamboo garden. All the spaces in the project wanted really to create balance and harmony fro people to be able to live life fully and appreciate every moment.

Exposed concrete, reclaimed wood, and dark metal accents provide a material and textural juxtaposition to the glassy, modern architecture of the building. The building’s amenity spaces were designed to support a broad spectrum of potential building tenants. The main amenity floor was envisioned primarily as a social complement to the office floors below. A large kitchen and bar area welcomes tenants to gather for lunch or social events in the evening. An adjacent lounge area provides a variety of soft seating and is accented with a sculptural light fixture. Acoustical wood panels with cave lighting will be added to the conference room to accommodate high noise levels. Additional conference rooms and private huddle rooms will also be built into the floor, and during the warmer months, tenants can take advantage of the outdoor terrace. Wood accents and glossy metal surfaces are used throughout the three floors. SCB designed the space to reflect the marriage between orthogonal and organic, bringing warm, sophisticated, and texturized finishes across the floors.
