HELLO SANTEE!

HELLO SANTEE!

As summer winds down we shift from a season of relaxation, adventure, beach days and family vacations to the vibrant, fresh energy of fall. I love these transitions, reflecting on the past and embracing the feeling of new beginnings, a chance to set new goals, meet new people and embark on new opportunities!

Our Chamber members were busy this summer celebrating with one another at milestone celebrations, grand openings, and networking mixers. One of these celebrations was the 15th anniversary party for our family business, Coffee Corner. We had a great evening with family, friends and so many of our customer friends! As we look back on 15 years, we recognize what a privilege it is to be a part of a business community that is so supportive of one another. The connections we’ve been able to make through The Chamber of Commerce are invaluable and we are truly grateful.

If you have a business in Santee, we’d love to invite you to join us for one of our mixers or events to get started making your own connections. In addition to networking with other business owners, there is space to chat with community leaders and representatives. If you have a new business, this is where you can get advice, support and education. If you have been a part of the business community for many years, there are so many ways to give back. You can remember what it was like at the beginning, taking a risk on your idea, waiting for customers, hoping people would see value in what you offer, and that you could support your family. This is your opportunity to encourage those who are just starting out! Connect with us to find out more about how you can get involved this year.

Here’s to a new season and the many meaningful moments ahead!

See you around Santee,

- Susie Parks Santee Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Board

“There is something so special in the early leaves drifting from the trees–as if we are all to be allowed a chance to peel, to refresh, to start again." - Ruth Ahmed
