Pan American The "Pan American" club at Santa Fe High School is set up to establish good relations between the people of Latin America and the United States. To work toward this goal, members of the club have a cultural exchange trip to Mexico annually. This past year, Pan Am went to Mazatlan. They experienced speaking a different language, eating different foods, and living in a different cultural community. They learned about the different area customs, and viewed many historical sites. During their stay at an ocean resort, they enjoyed swimming, tanning, and other beach activities. Pan Am members earned enough money to finance their trip by sponsoring a school dance, having bake and tamale sales, and selling candy. The years' Pan American queen, Theresa Quintana, was honored at the annual formal Pan Am dinner held on 808 May 17 in the activity center.
