GLENDA

HOPPER

All of Santa Fe High School and many graduates were saddened by the untimely death of Glenda Hopper, Head of the Home Economics Department here at Santa Fe High. Her leadership played a major part in building up our outstanding Home Economics Department. Glenda Lee Hopper was born Glenda Lee Stallard on January 4, 1944 to the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent B. Stallard of Fort Sumner, New Mexico. Mrs. Hopper received her degree in Home Economics at Eastern New Mexico in 1968 and her M.E. in 1972 also at Eastern. Her whole teaching career was in the Santa Fe School system. Mrs. Hopper was involved in Future Homemakers of America as a sponsor and a co-sponsor during her years at Santa Fe High. Mrs. Hopper was liked and respected by her students and teachers alike. Mrs. Hopper was involved in the Beta Sigma Phi Delta chapter during her teaching career in Santa Fe. Mrs. Hopper is.survived by her daughter Maria, who lives with her grandmother, Mrs. Erma Stallard in Fort S端mner. Mrs. Hopper was involved in the planning and designing of the Home Economics Department and many of her influences will remain strong for years to come.
