2010 HIGH ROAD ART TOUR 2010 – 2011 MAP & GUIDE HIGH ROAD ARTS

TAKE THE TOUR DRIVE THE HIGH ROAD Each fall in northern New Mexico artists on the High Road to Taos open their studios and galleries two consecutive weekends for the High Road Art Tour. This is when the trees turn yellow and the autumn sky deepens to cobalt so the tour offers one of the loveliest drives in the loveliest of seasons. It is also an historic trip that winds through tiny, old Land Grant villages and rural countryside. But best of all The High Road Art Tour allows visitors to see the multiple crafts, traditional and contemporary, sculpture, painting, and more by the local artists. Many of their studios are open annually only during the tour while other galleries and studios are open year-round as well. The tour allows visitors to meet and purchase directly from these artists. Presented by High Road Artisans, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and developing local talent and traditions in northern New Mexico villages, the Tour is made possible in part by New Mexico Arts, a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act as well as the New Mexico Tourism Department, and Taos County Lodger’s Tax. Our website provides additional and up to date information for visitors: www.HighRoadNewMexico.com 1-866-343-5381 High Road Artisans, P.O. Box 469, Truchas, NM 87578
