POLO STYLE
ONES TO WATCH
“Having been raised on the Central Coast of California, the effortlessly chic fashion sense common in the Golden State is ingrained in me,” says MEGHAN GRACIDA , who embraces her roots through her style as she travels the world with her husband, Memo, following his professional polo career. “To put it simply, I'm a little boho with the elegance of old Hollywood glamour, wrapped together with a hint of rock-and-roll to keep things interesting.” Although Meghan acquires special pieces to add to her closet during her travels, her top two spots are Ladybug Boutique, 805-693-8998, ladybugboutique. com, in Santa Ynez and DIANI Boutique, 805-966-7177, dianiboutique.com, in Santa Barbara. AN EFFORTLESS SUMMER DRESS.

Either a boho-chic Ulla Johnson dress— Ladybug Boutique has many of these— or a slip dress from Mason by Michelle Mason.

STACKED HEEL OR WEDGE.
I’m currently lusting over Gianvito Rossi’s suede Janis high sandal and the Pedro Garcia Marcia wedge at Diani.

OFF-THE-SHOULDER TOP.
Every woman looks beautiful showing some clavicle. I am obsessing over Apiece Apart’s Glorieta top.
Interior designer BIRGIT KLEIN .
Meet BIRGIT KLEIN , who is bringing her European design sensibilities into our neck of the woods. Originally from Germany, “Bee” lived in London, New York, and Los Angeles until she realized this was home for her. “I fell in love with Santa Barbara when we visited to watch the Pacific Coast Open,” she says. “I remember it so clearly, as I was newly pregnant, and I just knew that this is where I want to raise my family.” While she’s working on creating a local studio and storefront full of European home furnishings and accents, she’s still bouncing from project to project all over the globe and likes to take a breather at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club. “The kids love coming to watch their daddy [Andrew Broeren] play and feed the horses carrots after the game.” Her interior style—which she calls “luxurious and timeless yet comfortable and relaxed” and includes signature components such as sculptural pieces, lots of texture, and muted tones— is often echoed in her wardrobe. At the club, you’ll likely see her in a summer dress, sunglasses, and a geometric Pucci scarf. “I often wear long and floaty dresses layered with a great little jacket or knit in case clouds roll in,” she says. “If I wear a hat, I usually wear a Panama hat or something unstructured and flexible. And, as I will inevitably walk on grass, I usually wear a fantastic wedge heel or elegant and embellished flat sandal—also good if you want to participate in the divot stomping on the field.” J E N N I F E R B L A I S E K R A M E R
