In 2005, the Fujian Sanli Engine Company was awarded the title of "Provincial Enterprise Technology Centre" and is now in the process of gaining accreditation as a "National Technology Centre ". Over recent years, the company has won a plethora of local, provincial and national government honours including: National Hi-Tech Enterprise Fujian Provincial 100 Key Industrial Enterprises FUJian Provincial 50 Key Mechanical and Electrical Manufacturers FUjian Provincial Famous Brand FUjian Provincial Famous Product FUJian Provincial Famous Export Brand Quanzhou City 100 Key Industrial Enterprises Fujian Provincial Reliable and Trusted Enterprise In 2008, the company was honoured to be asked by the Standardization Administration of China to chair the drafting of the first National Standard on lawnmowers. Subsequently, the company was appointed a member enterprise of the General Gasoline Engine Technical Standardization sub-committee of the National Internal Combustion Engine Standardization Technical Committee and also of the National Forestry Machinery Technical Standardization Committee. As a member of the National Garden and Landscape Machinery Technical Standardization Preparatory Committee, the company was proud to have Jinjiang City chosen as the seat of the committee"s secretariat.
Currently, the company is entrusted with three specific tasks necessary in formulating the National Standards of Garden and Landscape Machinery and is also helping to draft two sets of National Standards. Meanwhile, the development of new Sanli products continues apace alongside ongoing research and development work for the National Key New Products Programme, the National Torch Project and the Provincial Key New Products Programme. Annual motorcycle production capacity currently stands at 400,000 units while the combined annual production of Sanli petrol and diesel engines together with all types of powered equipment is now in excess of 1 million units. The total number of garden and landscape machines alone capable of being produced annually by the company is around 600,000 units. Exports of Sanli products to western Europe and North America place the company among the industry"s top 10 earners of foreign currency. In terms of export volumes, the Sanli product range is ranked within the industry"s top five while Sanli lawnmowers are ranked number one for export volumes. These numbers are expected to maintain a continued rise as the Fujian Sanli Engine Company establishes new overseas subsidiary operations to complement the many offices it has set-up already within Europe, Africa and Australia.
