Welcome to the Sanford Sports Complex! Our 10th year proved to be one of the most high-energy, action-packed seasons yet. Not only did we host a record year filled with big-name athletic events and star-studded shows, but we also elevated the youth athletics experience with the opening of Sanford Crossing and Sanford Diamonds – our very own fields of dreams. As they say, “if you build it, they will come,” and wow, did they ever! Thousands of talented young athletes and their supporters filled the sidelines and stands for hundreds of baseball, softball, lacrosse and soccer games throughout our inaugural year. Another major W for us came with the launch of the Sanford Sports brand and SanfordSports.com, your new favorite site for program, event and ticket information. We’re adding new content all the time, so check it out often. Some say last season could be tough to top. To that we say, challenge accepted! We’ve entered a new era in sports and entertainment and can’t wait to bring you along. From athletic contests, tournaments and youth programs to concerts and community events, your experience is going to be one for the books. In year 11, we’ll welcome Augustana University back to the court as well as the South Dakota Class AA high school girls state basketball tournament for the second year in a row. Thrilling NCAA Division I basketball and wrestling action is in store along with the annual NSIC men’s and women’s basketball tournaments. Don’t miss professional hoops action all season long as the Skyforce return looking to make another run at the NBA G League Finals. Taking the stage in 2023, we have country music superstars Jake Owen headlining Sanford International LIVE! and Academy of Country Music Awards winner Brett Young stopping by as part of his fall Dance With You tour. The addition of the Crossing and Diamonds took our outdoor spaces to the next level. We’re building on that momentum and leveling up even more with the grand openings of Comfort Inn & Suites – Sanford Sports Complex and Scooter’s Coffee. That’s not all. In 2022, Sanford Health celebrated the groundbreaking of the Virtual Care Center on the Complex campus. Opening in 2024, the center will be one of the world’s leading facilities for virtual medical care, further proving we really are Here for all. Here for good. As a top sports and entertainment venue in the Midwest, we’re ready to offer a top experience. We couldn’t do it without you, though, the top fans in the business! SANFORD PENTAGON The Pentagon is the cornerstone of the entire Sanford Sports Complex, and the home of state, regional and national sporting events, and the Sanford Sports Academy. • Six perimeter high school-sized basketball courts. • Three collegiate and professional-sized practice courts. • Eleven tournament and fourteen practice volleyball courts The collegiate and professional-sized Heritage Court is a throwback to the gymnasiums of the 1950s, updated with state-of-the-art scoreboards, executive suites, food and more. Reminiscent of a time when sports were pure and simple, the Heritage Court will take you through time, and bring you right back to the reminiscent days of basketball. Adjacent to the Pentagon is the Sanford Fieldhouse. Together these facilities will provide sports-specific development opportunities for athletes from the interscholastic level to the professionals.

YOUR HOME FOR HOOPS HISTORY Sanford Pentagon is honored to feature the South Dakota High School Basketball Hall of Fame The Sanford Pentagon is the proud home of the South Dakota High School Basketball Hall of Fame. Displays change regularly – from looking back at a time when more than 300 South Dakota communities rallied around their hometown heroes to celebrating the magical moments of today. Featuring timeless memorabilia highlighting the state’s hardwood history, display cases are featured in the lobby area just to the right of the Sanford Pentagon Store. Permanently displayed on the second floor are panels with all state public school championship teams from 1912 through 1985 and Catholic school champions from 1937 through 1964. The South Dakota High School Basketball Hall of Fame is always seeking fresh items of interest. Looking for tourneys? The Sanford Pentagon is a great facility with great competition. Registration for all 2024 club tournaments is open! Tournaments will fill up quickly. Registration does not guarantee entry. You will receive confirmation once payment is received. Teams are accepted in the order their payments are received. Tournaments at the Sanford Pentagon are open to clubs of all affiliations (JVA, AAU, USAV, other). (Note that all players and coaches must be registered with AAU to play in the AAU Grand Prix.) First referees are provided for all matches at all tournaments. Sanford Health certified athletic trainers provide coverage at all tournaments. A live stream is available for purchase at all tournaments.
